FIX Dual PC Stream Microphone Problems

Well I've spent a few hours this afternoon setting up a dual pc layout for streaming using an Elgato HD60S. Its fiddly!

I've got there now (I think!), and I will put out a test stream tomorrow for any feedback. I'm looking forward to hopefully having smoother streams with less impact on the performance of the gaming PC.

Getting the video feed to stream from the gaming PC to the streaming laptop was easy peasy.......the audio wasn't! It appears that Elgato software can't feed both your mic output and game audio to OBS on the streaming PC at the same time, it can only send the game audio. This means OBS on the streaming PC could only output the game audio but you couldn't hear any mic chat.

Downloaded Voicemeeter Banana which didn't really help much, and ended up using Pedalboard 2 and GGate to sort out the audio issues.

If any of you guys intend on putting together a dual PC setup with an Elgato HD60 and you get stuck with the audio (and you will), please give me a shout or watch this guys vid as hes a damn genius. By far the quickest and easiest way to get around getting your gaming PC mic to be heard in OBS on your streaming PC.

To those who have recently followed, thank you! I really do appreciate it as I can't always stream in the evenings.

I will be streaming again either Thursday or Friday once I've worked out how to set up a dual pc rig with my new capture card. 😄👍

The boss aka "the wife" after much moaning by me has agreed to use her bluetooth headphones to watch her shows a couple of evenings a week in order for me to stream, so now I should be able to get some good games going with fellow streamers such as Kraz, Lady Tr00per and Tr00per Undead 🤘

Also I will be doing the odd child friendly stream (which I will state as such in the title), as with the capture card I should be able to stream Nintendo Switch gameplay. My youngest is a bit of a Mario fan so I will be doing a dual stream with the little one (these streams will be cuss free!).

Hi guys and girls, I'm coming to the conclusion that my branding is a little.........pants.

So far I've made my own OBS scenes and banners etc, however I'm looking to completely overhaul the branding (again) for something more professional looking.

Do any of you use Nerdordie scene packs, or are there any others that you would recommend?

Well after this mornings juddery stream I devlved through my SLOBS settings.............and found that I was also recording as well as streaming and running a VR game. No wonder my framerate was terrible! 🤦‍♂️ If you want to see a better Contractors stream, I do have an older one that I did along with Tr00per Undead aka Steve Foote in my videos.

So I've recified the recording issue, got the jist of setting up a VR stream which is more fiddly than a normal stream (did you notice that my mic doesn't echo now? 😆 No thanks to my front case audio ports), and tomorrow I shall bang up possibly 2 streams.

I will attempt Contractors again (this time with useable settings), to see how that runs.

I'm also thinking Horseshoes, Hotdogs, and Handgrenades which is a virtual shooting range.

As an idea for the above, I'm thinking of using every virtual firearm that also appears in Warzone/Modern Warfare and testing them out on a virtual shooting range. If you think this is something you'd like to see, then please leave a comment in the thread! 🤟

Well tomorrow is the first day in over 3 months that I will have the house to myself, so around 1230pm (ish) GMT, I will have a stream up.

As everyone's Mum/Dad/Dog/Cat and/or Grandmother is streaming Modern Warfare at the moment (and why not, it's a good game), I'm going to stream something in VR.

Thinking along the lines of Half Life: Alyx, Saints and Sinners, or possibly Euro Truck Simulator 2 as I've seen a few guys streaming recently. 👍

Or Contractors.....or Pavlov......too much choice! 😂

Well it's been confirmed that my wife is back to work next Monday, the kids are already back at school and nursery, so next week I can end this current streaming drought in which I'm stuck, and get some streams done!

Next Wednesday and Thursday I should be streaming, no idea what yet, although Half Life Alyx and a few others are still on the "to do" list.

I've redone my OBS scenes (I make my own), so they look more professional as well as some better intro tunes, although I have yet to hit the 100 follower mark which will mean I'll be able to stream on Facebook in 1080p and not 720p....

Sorry for the lack of content guys, but Covid 19 kind of kicked everything in the balls for me streaming-wise!

Ok, well as you've probably seen from today's MW stream (where I died horribly and often), I'm finding the second monitor screen to be a huge distraction. It's the first time I've ever used a 2 screen setup and the other screen keeps catching my eye and I can't concentrate.

So a quick one for any fellow streamers, does it get better with time, or are there any methods to help prevent being distracted by it at all?

Or am I just crap? (probably no need to answer that! 😆)

Trooper Undead

Hi all. Like many of you, both my wife and I have had to look after our kids during the COVID- 19 period, and along with being a key worker this has meant I still haven't been able to do any streams, although I do appear from time to time in Trooper Undeads streams now and again.

For those of us in the U.K., it's looking likely that schools for younger children will resume from June 1st (yeah, I had to correct it as I put the wrong date!), so HOPEFULLY I will be able to get back and up and running again soon!

My streams have gone on pause for the moment 😭

Due to the obvious current situation, my wife is at home as shes not a key worker and my two boys are as well due to the local schools being shut.

So I've not enough free time or space to stream at the moment, though hopefully when this pandemic draws to a close I will stream again, hopefully with new hardware, new games, and more of an idea as to what I am doing!
