On this day, 50 years ago, the first F16 “accidentally” took of marking it’s maiden flight. The F16 Fighting Falcon, or Viper as we like to call it, served in more then 26 countries and over 4500 have been produced and is still being upgraded and produced by Lockheed Martin. Although our Koninklijke Luchtmacht is phasing out this magnificent bird after 40 years of usage, we as Royal Netherlands Air Force virtual will keep flying this legend so its heritage will live on!

Besides flying the Viper, we as Royal Netherlands Air Force virtual also train and fight as adversary red air using the F1, F5 and F14. Always fun being the “bad guy” and doing some BFM!

It`s a wrap! We have just flown our last mission at Virtual Anatolian Eagle for this year! "Train like you fight and fight like you train" certainly applies here! We had a great time as we have learned and taught. We are a dutch milsim oriënted community which simulates the various aspects of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. To do that we use Eagle Dynamic's Digital Combat Simulator.

Within our group we value immersion, realism and teamwork above individual performance. We use training, qualifications and detailed mission preparation to achieve our goals and we are looking for team players who want to learn how to fly in squadron format at big multinational milsim campaigns and exercises with other virtual air forces.

Yesterday, we as Royal Netherlands Air Force virtual had the opportunity to secretly act as RED air using F1 mirages and F14 Tomcats against CVW66. Training day ✅️

When you join our squadron you'll be deployed to 131 squadron, where you'll learn all the basic SOP's. When the basics are checked off a transfer to 313 squadron will happen.

During training fase we fly in the USAF/RNLAF 148th Kickin' Ass (Arizona) liveries.

It's a bit quiet on our front last weeks, but nice things are coming up.

One of our staff members worked on a PvP campaign based on the 1999 Operation Allied Force last months. Progress is going well and invitations are being made.

Other virtual Air Forces will join as well, like the virtual Polish Air Force and the virtual Turkish Air Force. Would you like to join as well with your virtual Air Force or squadron, get in contact for more information and check out if this something for your group!!
