The latest arrivals! The newly reprinted Battletoads Double Dragon and the all new western print of Avenging Spirit originally in JP. I played a few levels of Avenging Spirit and it's pretty good, I think it would be neat for a stream!

I've never played the NES port of Battletoads Double Dragon so I'm excited for this! The Genesis port I've played only partway through but was fun.

For those of you who do pay attention to these posts, I've taken a break from streaming, maybe for the entire month. I've had a continually growing library and I want to give it proper attention. Here's a few I've been playing.

Loop Hero is a roguelike that has an automatic combat system like a mmo, but you shape your fate by building the world around you which gives resources, enemy spawns, and support. Beating enemies drops equipment and "cards" yes there's a card deck you pool from when you defeat enemies. The interesting twist? You journey along a loop that is generated randomly at the beginning of each expedition. Read into it to learn more.

Blaster Master Zero 3: the conclusion to a epic trilogy I am currently working on. Great exploration and game play. Story is pretty interesting! The overall situation just gradually escalates as you play each game. Inti Creates really knocks their releases out of the park. They've done really well to reboot the franchise with a wonderful cohesive story.

Valis the Phantasm Soldier Collection: the story is as jp influenced as it can get. I'm on game 3 and overall I like this series. Good ol action game with excellent music and game play.

As you know, I'm quite picky about my game library additions, so each title comes recommended.

I'm really wanting to try streaming legit Duck Hunt because I am crazy, y'all know this. Even if it's just a IRL angle from my very capable phone, I wanna try.

This still image shows you why light gun games don't work on any TV that isn't "old school". This TV is scanning the image in rows so fast, it takes a camera to see it. Cameras and subsequently modern tvs do processing to the image to increase its resolution (graphics quality), which SLIGHTLY delays the signal from TV input to display just enough to make the tech behind light guns useless.

Our favorite light gun games were ALL built around this old tech!

Fans of the Castlevania anime but never played many of the games, this is where they got their lore and/or character mentions for Leon Belmont and Hector and Issac the Devil Forgemasters. What you have to keep in mind the anime tells a bit of a parallel universe or retelling of some of these characters while staying true to others.

It's really what made the anime so good. Make A "what if it happened this way" fan made story that somehow faithfully sticks to much of the lore but turns their paths in new directions.

Playing all the games the anime drew from can deepen your appreciation for the show. Having played them all myself, it was very interesting to see how the director chose to utilize the lore.

Since I have a ps3 hooked up, these are available to stream! Would you be interested in streams of these oft overlooked classics?

Well I was just getting back into streaming and my car starts acting up. Long story short, tried changing spark plugs Wednesday and Thursday only for that to not fix it. Gonna take it to a mechanic Sunday. Been hitching a ride to work with the bro in law so it was easier to stay at his place. I miss being home haha.

I was really getting into revisiting MM Legends!! Bah!

Live with Mega man legends

Systems: Atari 2600, TG16, Nintendo NES to Switch, all handhelds. Sega Gen-DC, GG. Sony PS1-5, PSP. Microsoft OG Xbox-1st Gen XBO. I don't fit into a "streamer type". One side are the retro enthusiasts and the other prefer more modern. I like video games. Pretty simple right?

So.... At first I powered up the ol Wii U to buy a few things before debit cards couldn't be used anymore tomorrow, had to go buy a game pad charger. Decided to give this another shot. It's a lot more fun than I gave it credit for. The innovations were too much I suppose so it didn't do that well, but thanks to the people that down voted it, we haven't gotten a new one in years.

Game play for the other vehicles still taking me some getting used to but it's a solid game.

I may be the only streamer I've seen actually considering trying to stream this! Yes I must be crazy!
