The annual ride-along for kindergartners, first graders, and their parents provides a sneak-a-peek of what to expect when riding one of Cobb’s 1,000+ yellow buses. Riverside National Night out against crime on Wednesday July 26, 2023
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a much needed opportunity to bring police, public safety departments and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
The National Night Out is spearheaded by www.natw. org and different dates are observed with August 1st being the official date. Riverside community will observe National Night Out Against Crime with movies on the green and will be observed July 26th at Residence of Riverside Apartments 360 Riverside Parkway
Pre movie activity 6:30-7:30 , 7:30 -8:15 guest speakers ( sheriff, police department, fire department elected officials) with movie beginning at dusk.

We Thrive on Riverside Renters Association hosted end of school year cookout at Silver Creek Crossing Apartments on Riverside Parkway in Mableton Georgia. Thrive Resident leaders Monique Lester, Angela Wynn and Sharon Burrell organized the cookout. Youth enjoyed games and hamburgers and hotdogs hot off the grill.

Scenes from the Best of Cobb
We Thrive on Riverside Renters Association was voted second place for non-profit.
Voters were able to vote online everyday from December to a February, We competed with 15 other non profits.
We Thrive on Riverside Renters Association team reminded voters to vote everyday.
We were the only non- profit from the South Cobb area to place in the top 3.
The best of Cobb will be featured in Cobb Life magazine/ Marietta Daily Journal

Good morning I Attended the Cobb Board of Commissioners meeting today and Provided updates that the patio windows were repaired located on one of our Riverside apartment complexes. Months the windows were left unrepaired since December 2022 and We Thrive on Riverside Renters Association requested the property to do repairs, children were complaining about the broken repairs at the schools and how vacant apartments were being used by squatters.

When children don’t feel safe at home they can not concentrate in school. If we are going to change the schools we must first change the environment where our children live.

After months of reminding the property to fix the windows and contacting code enforcement abd elected officials the windows were repaired March 3, 2023
Thank you to SCLC, Cobb Code enforcement, Cobb County Commissioner Monique a Sheffield and State Representative Terry Cummings for assisting.
