A local business in York tasked us with revitalising their social media platforms, and Siren were more than up to the task. We agreed to aim towards a 10% month on month increase of net followers on Facebook and Instagram. The numbers are low, as the pages had been relatively quiet, but within a month of us shouting about this business they are now exceeding their growth goals by 386% on Facebook and 300% on Instagram. We're now looking to blast this even higher each month over the coming months!

The camera and lighting you use can make a big difference on the pictures you take of your products and can therefore have a big impact on the end content you create.

This first picture of this cheesecake was taken with specialist lighting equipment and the second without. The first picture is a lot more colourful and pleasing on the eyes, and looks a lot more enticing to the customer.

Making a success of social media isn't a complicated science. In fact, it's genuinely quite easy to do:

📢Define the objective of your ad and make sure you get your point across in it, be it a general post about brand awareness or if you're wanting to alert your customer base to a limited edition product etc

📢Understand your audience. Different demographics use social media in different ways, and even use different platforms. 62% of the worlds population use social media. That's 4.95 billion people! You can reach your share of your target audience by picking the right platform and the right way to advertise to them

📢Create your content in advance. Most platforms offer the ability to schedule content, so you don't have to sit and press the "Post" button every time you want to post something. Organising posts in advance can save you time and help you plan a successful advertising campaign

📢Finally, think outside the box and show what makes your business unique. We never use stock pictures of food or whatever your business supplies, as it undervalues your brand and doesn't show your customers what they can only get from YOU. Shout about your business, or let Siren do it for you 😉

Some work we've done recently with the guys at 66 Bistro. Razvan and Jonny are always a pleasure to work with, and the mission they've set themselves to offer take away food of exceptional quality is evident in the photos of their food.

All pictures and videos used in our advertising for 66 Bistro is all taken at their restaurant and is of the same food they serve their customers. You may have seen in November we completed a photoshoot with the guys, which resulted in over 200 pictures and videos taken. This was enough content to create months worth of marketing, and we're still exploring ideas of what we can use the pictures for.

We always go the extra mile at Siren to shout about your business. We don't use stock pictures, instead choosing to spend the time getting pictures and videos of your product. It's important to us that we promote your strengths, and you can do that best by showing what you have to offer! 💪

Some work we've done over the last few months with Sizzling Plate in Stamford Bridge, York.

The task from Sizzling Plate was to help produce a set menu and advertise this effectively to make a success of the usual quiet November period. The team at Siren got very involved in this project, as instead of just creating social media content, we actively pushed this menu via other methods and even created the in-restaurant menu given to customers. This helped Sizzling Plate keep to a lower budget rather than using additional businesses to create and print menus for them and advertise via more traditional methods.

Overall, the set menu and advertising campaign was a success. So much so, Sizzling Plate have brought the menu back for January!
