This feels like such a long time ago 🥺

We may not have entered production on Henry House until February but throughout January of last year the team behind the scenes were still on the set! 🎬

It had taken months, but we were busy putting the finishing touches on a team capable of coping with the rigours of producing a feature length TV Pilot 🎥

Exactly a year ago today we were putting that brand new team, full of youth and inexperience, through their final paces before filming finally began 🤩

Many had said our care home comedy drama couldn’t be done. But we’d just built the team that was about to prove them wrong… 💪

We would like to wish the happiest of birthdays to one of our born and bred Welsh talents 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Not Mark Lewis Jones this time, but the man who gets to play his son in our care home comedy drama, Dean Raymond 🤩

His character, Aled, is also the best friend of Henry House’s main character! We have such big plans for Aled and Dean 👀

But seeing as his legendary “dad”’s new show, OUT THERE is on ITV1 tonight at 9, we thought this was a pretty fitting pic to go with 📺

Taken after we had just wrapped on Mark’s hotly anticipated scene in Henry House: The Pilot, on location at the fabulous Shrewsbury Prison 🎬

So what do we think of ITV’s OUT THERE? It features Henry House’s biggest star, Mark Lewis Jones! 🌟

Mark plays the no-nonsense brother to Martin Clunes’ Nathan, a farmer confronted with dark forces seeping into his rural community… 👀

But the Wrexham TV legend isn’t the only connection to our care home comedy drama, as our very own Script Supervisor, Helen Rose was also on the set! 🎬

The mad thing is she worked on it way back in August 2023! Six months before Henry House even entered production, and it’s only just getting on TV now! 🤯

And that’s with an established production team! It just goes to show how long it can take to get a brand new drama on TV, doesn’t it? 😌

See Gareth Owain David Thomas, who was Executive Producer on “Weightless Words” itself, as you’ve never seen him before. Or maybe you have 😉

We told you a Henry House Executive Producer was going to make the cover of Shropshire Magazine! 📸

We are so incredibly proud to have our very own Poppy Godsal on the front of the county’s favourite lifestyle publication 🤩

Poppy has also become one of the most successful graduates our award winning Jack Morris Initiative work experience program has ever known 🥳

But we are so thankful to Poppy’s whole family and fellow Executive Producers, Phil and Susie Godsal, who made filming our pilot at their beautiful Iscoyd Park possible 🙌🏻

Filming our care home comedy drama right here in Shropshire, celebrating this beautiful part of the world, is something we were so passionate about 🩷

So seeing the Henry House journey now celebrated on the front cover of the biggest magazine in the county is something we are all very proud of 😍

We would like to congratulate Koren Llewellyn for qualifying as a dementia friendly barber 🥳

Koren is Lifestyle Coordinator at Oxbow Manor Care Home, who provided invaluable support for the research of our care home drama TV pilot 🎬

Koren spoke to our leading lady, Órla Jones, when she visited Oxbow Manor to thank the staff and residents personally for all their support last year 🙏

Koren will now be offering her services as a dementia friendly barber to the residents of Oxbow Manor at their own fully kitted out in-house salon! 💈

So who’s excited for the season finale of PATIENCE tonight, the crime drama with an autistic twist!?! 🧠

The show follows an autistic archivist (Patience), who finds herself caught up in all kinds of murder cases, where her own autistic traits help her crack clues! 🔍

But Patience isn’t just an autistic character, she’s played by a (very good) autistic actor in Ella Maisy Purvis 🙏

In our own drama about autism, we, too, cast an autistic actor in an important autistic role. Amy Jude, as LANA, put in some brilliant performances in “Henry House” 👏🏻

It is so fantastic to see autistic talents being given the opportunity to represent their own condition; from a TV pilot like “Henry House”, to a TV series like “Patience” 📺

Here’s hoping Ella and “Patience” can pave the way for, not only “Henry House” to be the next autism drama to hit our screens, but for Amy to keep her role and ensure her condition gets the authentic representation it deserves! 🤞

We are truly saddened to hear the news of Pauline Quirke’s dementia diagnosis 😭

Pauline is most famous for Birds Of A Feather, but she will have also worked on Emmerdale at the same time as a very young Daisy Campbell 📺

Several of our young talents have benefitted from going through her renowned Pauline Quirk Academy over the years, too 🎓

At only 65, and having been living with the condition since 2021, this only goes to highlight how dementia doesn’t just happen to “old people” ❌

Dementia is something close to the hearts of all connected to Henry House, our care home drama, as it’s lead us to work with many people living with it 🎬

Our thoughts go out to Pauline and husband, Steve, who we thank for speaking about Pauline’s diagnosis, and for their support to Alzheimer's Research UK 🧠

As if it’s been a month since we announced the arrival of Daisy Campbell with THAT video 👀

The video that sent shockwaves around the country as the soap star sensationally signed with Rocking Horse Media just the day after her final Emmerdale episode aired 🤩

We would say it’s been a month of breaking records for our new star signing but, in all honesty, it took her about a day to become the most successful casting in our history 🤷‍♀️

We’ve been in the national press more times in a week than we had in a year and she’s statistically 20,000 times more successful than any other casting we’ve ever made 😱

But, it all started with one simple question… can lightning strike twice? Could we pull off another high profile project like the last one? 🤔

There’s of course a long way to go but, as starts go, we couldn’t have dreamt of better 💪

Over 100,000 views and rising, you might say Daisy Campbell has gone down a “Storm”… 😉 ⚡️ ⚡️

No one has needed or deserved a few hugs over the past three years more than the Henry House Family 🤗

So, on National Hugging Day, we remember some of our most memorable moments, where we earned a good hug off the people we have come to love 🥰

We may have set out to make a TV Pilot about a fictional “home”. We ended up creating a real one 🥺

We were so excited to find out today that the star of Henry House is coming back to see us this Spring 🤩

Almost as excited as Audrey here when she got to meet Órla Jones herself, during our leading lady’s special visit to Oxbow Manor Care Home last year 🏠

And the face of our care home comedy drama’s next visit will be for another very special occasion… 👀

Our very own Oswestry writer/director will be giving a live talk on HENRY HOUSE at an upcoming event with the Oswestry Film Society 🎥

Gareth Owain David Thomas wrote and directed the locally produced feature length TV Pilot of a star studded comedy drama set in a care home 🏠

Find out how such an ambitious project was made possible not only once, but twice, after it had to “BounceBack” from the brink of collapse and be reshot from scratch 👀

Not to mention what it was like to direct so many TV legends! How did a little local production company with no budget end up signing so many stars anyway? 🤔

Find out all this and more when Gareth talks to James Bond from the Oswestry Film Society at Hermon Arts from 7:30pm on Wednesday, February 19th 📅

It’s always great to be back on with Paul Griffiths on Premier Radio, but it was so lovely to see Mark back in the studio, too, doing what he does best 👏🏻

Well, he did brilliantly! 🤩

Adam Riley was certainly the star of the show with Paul Griffiths on Premier Radio this morning 📻

He was being interviewed about how it felt to work with famous soap star Daisy Campbell, after a video of her that Adam filmed recently went viral 🤩

The Wrexham filmmaker was DoP for the important video announcing the Emmerdale actress’ shock move to Rocking Horse. Something he’d never done before! 👀

That video, and that casting, fast became the most successful in our history. What an exciting future ahead for both Rocking Horse and young Adam! 🌟
