Some what I am eating during my 6 week weight loss challenge, losing weight doesn’t have to be boring or hard.

Morrisons Best Old English Chipolates, beans and egg breakfast and a tasty Chilli Tuna Crunch bowl salad for lunch yesterday.
Week 1 weight loss 2kg circa 4lbs and haven’t been hungry all week sticking to below 2040 calories.

Calorie Goal is calculated by MyFitness Pal and based on losing 2lb per week.

I will post the ingredients for the Chilli Tuna Crunch Salad later, I tried to screenshot on my phone and it was too long 😂😂😂😂 the entire bowl was 316 calories and very filling

So a pint of Peroni turned into two and ordered lunch - Cowboy Burger (light version) and half a side of French fries less than 950 calories so still on track to meet Six Week Calorie goal without counting exercise.

I didn’t need breakfast today and we decided on a walk as the sun was shining - 5 miles later and Mrs C decided we would have a Peroni in the sunshine & at 236 calories it wouldn’t break the calorie budget for the day before the walk/exercise was included - I hit a new low on the scale’s this morning and BMI slowly creeping down.

When I compare yesterday’s breakfast of mini tortillas, ham and air fryer Cherry Tomatoes & the Cup of tea and 2 small slices of toast & butter the calories are both under 300 Calories but the nutritional components are completely different!

Tea and toast was nice but so was the Tortilla breakfast and I was full yesterday until 1:00pm - I could do another round of toast now and breakfast was only 10 minutes ago. 😂😂😂

I should have added a boiled egg to the tea and toast for protein!

Six Week Challenge is going well 4 days in and the scales are showing down - I weigh every day and the scales fluctuate daily but the trending High & Lows are still going in the right direction.

Today will be interesting as I am on Grandad duty and have been told by Jack we are going to lunch at a restaurant today 😂😂😂❤️

Starting another SIX WEEK Plan today and kicked the day off with a scromlettes - If you’ve not heard of scromlettes, they are a hybrid of scrambled eggs and omelettes and are a lot easier to make than omelettes.

I use the following ingredients:

4 medium eggs - Whisked
5 grams of Lurpack spreadable (For Cooking)
1 Spring onion
100 grams Cherry Tomatoes
15 grams Cathedral City Mature Cheddar

Sauté the Spring Onion and Sliced Cherry Tomatoes for a couple of minutes, add the eggs & cheese and cook 30 seconds and then stir as you would scrambled eggs until cooked through to your preference.

I saved 3 of the tomatoes as a side - All of this was 360 calories and with a mug of white coffee (20 calories) made a filling start for the day!

I weighed in this morning at 111 kgs (17 Stone & 6.7 lbs)

I do the SIX Weeks focused plan 3 times a year and it keeps me in tune with what and how I am eating - I weigh and count everything for the SIX weeks and plan ahead to take away the “what shall we have decisions”

First time I have put this out there online but I hope it helps someone on their weight loss & management journey.

It may be surprising to learn that I stopped using low fat anything as it’s full of sugar and for meat I use the higher fat mince for flavour and find it’s more filling - By counting the calories I’m already in control of what I’m consuming so why miss out on the taste.

I have been doing this for over 4 years and have not put any weight back on and consistently lose weight over time.

I will add the recipes and ingredients used alongside my daily plans - Meal planning helps and I will also share mine.

Weight loss progress for this week and still creeping down - Two Stone & 8 pounds off and no going backwards since I started.

I never managed to keep it off or maintain such a long losing streak over years - It’s become part of my daily life and I’m more attuned to how I eat now rather than what I eat!

Pressure is off and I get weighed most days as a reminder of how far I’ve come.

I’m starting a Six Week Plan after the Bank Holiday and will share what I’m doing on here.

We went for a simple ham salad for dinner tonight and these are the Best Tomatoes (forgive the pun) we have had in a very long time.
Absolutely bursting with flavour and transformed a simple salad into something delicious.

If you have a Morrisons nearby These are worth trying for yourself

Philadelphia Garlic and Herb soft cheese makes a great sauce for pasta - Add 300 grams of mushrooms, 1 Brown onion diced, 250 grams pasta twists, salt and black pepper to taste.

I have not shown the mushroom and onion being sliced and diced 😂

Add the pasta to a pan of boiling salted water to be cooking while you Sauté the onion and mushrooms until tender.

Drain the pasta and add to the pan of sautéed vegetables. Add the Philadelphia and a little of the pasta water and stir until the cheese melts into a sauce and covers the pasta.

Season to taste with black pepper, I also added some frozen parsley for a garnish.

This made enough for four portions - Enjoy
