It's all about attention. That's what we're seeing in the digital marketing space. The companies, regardless of their fields, that are getting the most attention are the ones growing and expanding year on year. Incorporating video into your marketing strategy flicks a switch. You suddenly engage a whole different part of the audiences brains. Peoiple that never engaged previously will now be engaging. Get creative as you can and start to push videos out. You'll have more people spending time on your page/website - more people knowing about your offering.

Jamie is shooting away today 📸 Our mentor said something a few months back that has stuck with us - if your marketing is boring you will F A I L. The dynamics of how consumers make decisions and purchase has changed dramatically as we entered into the technological era. You have to find ways to entertain, educate or inspire them. Bog standard marketing just doesn't work anymore.

There are so many areas that you have to focus on - finance, marketing, sales, accounts, R&D etc. We've seen companies grow within the first few months of them outsourcing some of these departments. We just asked Arun what his biggest piece of advice is for 2020...

Get content heavy and couple it with a strategy. Content is winning every single day - Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok the list goes on! Make your marketing sexy and stand out from the crowd. BUT PLEASE don't make the mistake of taking pictures and videos of loads of content and just posting it everyday (spammer!). Deliver the content with a strategy in mind. Lead people back to a website, blog, email capture point, free giveaway etc!

You've set up your page - you're posting away - you want to make loads of sales - BUT NOBODY IS ENGAGING 😵

We have seen this scenario time and time again here at .co.uk. Do these 3 steps if you have a Facebook business page: 1. Invite your friends list to like your page 2. Look at doing a creative giveaway and get some likes, comments and shares under your belt 3. You'll now have tonnes of additional traffic which you can market to using the steps in the video above.

Did you know that at one time the conservative party had over 2,500 Facebook ads running?! That is crazy!

What's the one piece of advice Chris, co-founder of App Central, would give to people? 🗣

Phew, we covered a whole heap of topics including personal development, the future of digital marketing and everything else business. A key takeaway was Chris's attitude towards risk. He doesn't shy away from risk and calculates every move he makes. Risk, of course, can bring forward failure however failure is just a signal saying "that way doesn't work!". In fact, failing more often will lead to success quicker.

Dream big. Be willing to risk. Closely monitor the effects of your decisions. Adjust along the way.
