Series 9 of is now wrapped up & a massive thanks must go to Evan Simons, Allan Coleman, Matthew Smith, Ian Mort, Gary Hulse, Matt Costello, Charles Lang, Leah Burke, Kyle McGreevey, Andrew Kirchin, Vicky Whitfield, Jack Hansen, Jordy Gibson, Lee Doran, Jamie Jones-Buchanon, Tom McMuldroch & Oliver Roberts.

I'd have bitten your hand off to have the pleasure of speaking with people of the calibre of all the previous guests for a series or two all that time ago & yet here we are finishing series 9. I'm still really appreciative that people will still speak to me about all things life & rugby.

I'll be back with Series 10 early next year & look forward to getting to know new guests & taking you on the journey with me. Any feedback, guest suggestions, questions & ideas are always welcome & considered.

This weeks hails from Brighouse & his story began with Private School. The classroom wasn't his favourite place so out with the family he went & learnt life lessons that way. The rugby pitch became his arena initially with Old Brodleians RUFC & then Siddal ARLFC with the added spice of boxing as well. When scholarship came along he signed with Salford Red Devils RLFC whilst playing for Siddal & repping Yorkshire & Calderdale Service area. His academy rugby was spent with Bradford Bulls RLFC & he debuted at 17. He's spent time with Huddersfield Giants Oldham RLFC Halifax Panthers Newcastle Thunder & currently Sheffield Eagles while repping Ireland RL. He's doing amazing things off the field as well. Ladies & Gents Mr Oliver Roberts.

As comes to an end we'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has contributed to our raising awareness & funds. We genuinely do appreciate that we're asking you all, every year, to help us achieve our aims but like, every year, you've helped us smash them very aims.

We know it must come across as tedious, mithering, annoying & any other words you'd all like to use but we do it because it matters to us all in a different way & some similar ways.

I don't think we'll stop or I (Jon) won't anyway but we do try and think of different ways of doing it as we recognise the same people tend to donate & it's hard for people regarding money these days. We're the very same as a lot of you regarding that.

So on behalf of the "Muzzy Lads" thank you to everyone that has contributed through donations, shares, likes, word of mouth & spoken about what we're doing. Keep talking & checking yourselves all year around not just "Movember".

This weeks shares the journey of a Widnes lad, who fell into Rugby of both codes by chance. Never really knowing anything about it other than he could tackle & trot well & it didn't hurt to much. He played initially for St Bedes then Wade Deacon before being talked into a session at Widnes RUFC. He went to Merseyside & Lancashire sessions but it never really gave him any enjoyment & the wids were lucky that he stayed a one man club. He established himself into arguably the best No 7 the club has ever had whilst dipping his toe in the Rugby League pond for Halton Farnworth Hornets now and then. Ladies & Gents it's the absolute Gentleman Mr Thomas McMuldroch.
