With sadness More Muzic Radio are unable to attend the Whittlesey Christmas Extravaganza event this afternoon. We were aiming to provide a bit of festive fun however we have been made aware that some were against the idea of having a Santa based with us at St Mary’s Church. This was in no way an intention to replace the real Santa who is going to be there this afternoon during the event. This follows us being turned down the chance to have a stall elsewhere in the event due to it being sponsored by another radio station (we are still unaware of why this is or who they are) and other unanswered emails around how we can become involved in sponsorship ourselves. We were also informed that we would not be allowed any music at the event and again an unanswered email around this and whether this applied to all stalls or just ours had no response from the organiser. Whereas this is a sad and ultimately avoidable situation we felt it was the most professional response to not attend later so that no more unintentional upset was caused. More muzic radio has had an excellent year with community events such as armed forces weekend, charity 24 hour radio shows, film shows, entertainment in various local venues as well as being the only radio station from the town to achieve DAB broadcasting status. We will continue to work alongside our community and for our community. We are strong believers in working together and in partnership with others and are hopeful in the future that some parties are more willing to collaborate with us to produce positive things for our local area. Hopefully 2025 will be the year that this begins !

More Muzic Radio are delighted to announce that we have been asked by St Mary’s Church to provide the festive feeling during the Whittlesey Christmas Extravaganza. The church is hosting a brilliant Christmas tree festival and all of the best Christmas music will be provided by the station presenters. This will be the last community event of a very busy 2024 for the station which has included Armed Forces Weekend, various film shows and band events, support at schools, fetes and festivals and raising over £1000 in 24 hours for a local charity. On top of this More Muzic Radio has gained their DAB+ licence and are now broadcasting to a whole new wider audience. We look forward to seeing you at the extravaganza so come along and meet some of the presenters, put in a request or two and maybe there will also be a freebie or two being handed out.
