If it wasn’t for this AirBnB’s social media, I wouldn’t have booked it! 📸

Holiday accommodation owners: is your content helping potential guests visualise themselves staying with you?🤔

One of my favorite stays was an attic apartment in Italy. I found it on Instagram and fell in love with the traditional decor, city views, quirky rooftop balcony, and the owner’s thoughtful touch - that he gives out hand drawn maps with his favorite local spots (super cute!!)🍕

The AirBnB listing didn’t capture the vibe that their Instagram content did, or showcase the features that made me excited to go there. If it wasn’t for their amazing content, I wouldn’t have booked!👀

👉 So, if you want to stand out in a crowded market, make sure:

1️⃣ You’re showing up on social media and not just booking sites

2️⃣ Your content goes beyond the basics to showcase what makes your stay special and entices people to book

ONE YEAR AS A BUSINESS OWNER!🎉

Your Local Socials just turned 1, and we celebrated in style🎂🥂

Just over a year ago, a sure thing job offer fell through. So I took the freelance leap and launched my own business. In February, I was offered the original position, but I decided to believe in myself and Your Local Socials, and turned it down. It was a scary decision to make, but I’m so glad I did🥳

Now 373 days in, and YLS is busy, thriving, and I’m SO excited for what’s next✨

Small biz owners, are you struggling for REACH on your socials?👀

If you’re not already, give these 5 pointers a try!✨

1. HASHTAGS - hashtags specific to not only your specific post, but also to your profile / services and also to your target audience and their pain points 🎯

2. KEYWORDS - SEO is not just for websites. Specific key words and phrases that relate to your business, what you do and who for✍️

3. PROFILE OPTIMISATION - make sure you have up to date contact information, location, and a clear description of your business / keywords in your bio. Consistent bios across all profiles is important👌

4. REELS - more reach, especially using early trending audios🕺

5. ACCESSIBILITY- make sure all image / graphic posts have alt-text, and any video content has subtitles💕
