📍San Carlo, Bristol

Went here whilst in Bristol with the girls after it was recommended and I had also visited the one in Manchester Selfridges.

We had
🦞 Ravioli Lobster (£17.95)
🧀 Spaghetti Carbonara (£14.50)
🍞 Flatbread with garlic and sea salt (£5.50)
🍝 Rigattoni alla Norma (£14.50)
🍫 Tiramisu
Also not pictured
🥒 Zucchine Fritte (£4.95)
🍟 French fries (£4.25)

Overall the food was lovely, the restaurant was beautiful inside and the service was average.

We did feel quite rushed at first, as they told us we couldn’t move our booking (we were running a little late) but the restaurant didn’t get busier after we arrived, it was a Monday evening, so not sure why this was.

We just had some regular drinks, g&t and vodka lemonade as they don’t do cocktails which was disappointing.

Overall rating - 7.6 (average of 3 people)

Would recommend and would go again as the food was nice and for a
Nice meal it is quite reasonable.

A place to try if you’re in Bristol !

Solo breakfast the other day!

Smashed avocado on toast with bacon 🥑🥓

This was delicious, can’t wait to go back!

This is your reminder to take yourself out for food or a drink, even if you have no one to go with ! Your own company is your best company, very wholesome 🥰

📍 The Yard, Cowbridge

This food was sooo yummy ! I went with my mum and Nan, and we shared all of this for a lunch time treat!

We went for the chicken salad (who knew cold broccoli would be nice?), bruschetta with Parma ham and mozerella, arancini balls (amazing), penne verde which was so creamy and tasty, then a pepperoni pizza !

The food here is 10/10 it’s so fresh, the staff are so lovely and overall it’s a great place to go either for lunch or dinner, with family, friends or date night 💗

I’d 100% recommend, if you go let me know what you have😍

Also you should book as they get quite busy!

Breakfast @ Academy in Barry the other day !

Their classic pancakes - pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup. So yummy

Also had an ice oat milk latte with hazelnut syrup.

Such a nice spot !

This lemon curd is absolutely amazing, I use this for all my lemon cakes and bakes 🍋
I want to eat it by the spoonful 😍

And yes, that is a calpol syringe, used for baking only ! One of my fave hacks

💗 Bake With Meg 💗

So since December I have been contemplating what to do with ‘Baked By Meg’ and I have come to the decision to not take orders any more, as I was losing my love for baking whilst also working full time. Instead I have now come to the decision to create baking/foodie content, this way I can explore my passion for baking whilst sharing it with you guys, through ✨ Bake with Meg ✨!
