The perils of being a wheeler! Beware of hidden 'presents' masquerading as leaves!!!!

This was from a tiny dog as always scan the track ahead for unpleasant 'objects' so was shocked to find any dog poo on my hand but when I went back along the same track a few days late, another tiny dog poo was hidden on the edge of the track beside dead leaves, and that's what it looked like, a little dead tan leaf!😱

A lovely dog-owner saw my predicament and gave me tissues and put them into his dog poo bag, if only the owner's of the dogs depositing said 'presents' were as thoughtful!

So, if you're a wheeler, wheel prepared, take wet wipes, kitchen roll and a dog poo bag in your pocket 🤣

A collection of photos I've taken on my travels with either an electric power front wheel or manual Freewheel out and about in my Quickie Argon 2 rigid chair.

Also a few drone photos so you really get a birds eye view.

So if you're new to wheeling or stuck on bedrest and fancy viewing my travels with me, hope you enjoy the view!

A spinal cord injury in 1986 left me reliant on wheels to get about but it sure doesn't stop you exploring as long as you have the right attachment for your chair and the terrain you are exploring.

Room With A View :-)

This page (linked to my YouTube channel) shows views of the places I can now explore with wheelchair add-ons and I hope will entertain or inspire people in a similar situation and show how much broader your horizons become with wheelchair add-ons.

I am currently not riding as my horse is now retired at the grand old age of 28, but my views from horseback will continue once I have found a suitable replacement.

I really hope that people new to ‘wheeling’ will feel that their life hasn’t ended, just turned a sharp corner and with a bit of planning and adapting of your new lifestyle, there is much to be enjoying as you roll through life, and yes, you’ll miss aspects that only walking can achieve for you but as long as you have a positive mental attitude, much can be done to bring a smile to your face.

For anyone who is grounded through being on rehab or in hospital or confined to bed while recuperating, I hope that viewing my escapades will help alleviate the feeling of being trapped inside as you view all the places I go to.
