Never Say Die book Never Say Die is a book on Gloucestershire CCC’s victorious Royal London One Day Cup run, which will feature fans memories of the final.

Journalist Tim Lezard is writing a book on Gloucestershire CCC’s victorious Royal London One Day Cup run and is asking fans to submit their reminiscences of the final. Against the odds, the team won the Royal London One-Day Cup at Lord’s on 19th September 2015, beating favourites Surrey after having defeated heavily-fancied Yorkshire at Headingley in the semi-final. To commemorate the stunning vic

tory, journalist Tim Lezard is writing a book on the cup run and is asking fans to submit their reminiscences of the final. He said: “Gloucestershire players have said fans were their 12th man on Saturday, urging them on when all seemed lost, and I want to capture that mood in the book, Never Say Die.
“The title encapsulates the spirit of this young team which simply does not know when it is beaten. They won several close finishes in the group stages, mounted an astonishing comeback when they looked down and out in Yorkshire and then turned the game on its head on Saturday.”

The book, which has the backing of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, will feature match reports and pictures from all cup games this season and behind-the-scenes interviews with players and coaching staff, as well as fans’ memories. Fans are invited to submit 150 words and a picture to [email protected] by October 12th. Never Say Die – How Gloucestershire won the 2015 Royal London One-Day Cup will be published in December. We'll publish regular updates about the book on this page.
