You don’t need a time machine to travel back to pre-war England, just visit an English village. There you will find an England largely populated by folk who are almost exclusively white and mostly British born and bred.
How is this possible when Britain’s cities and towns are multi-ethnic melting pots, populated by peoples from every corner of the planet?
There’s a very simple answer, faith schools.
According to research by @nationalsecularsociety of 3,500 rural primary schools in England, 55 per cent are designated as faith schools.
However, for “faith” read Christian and for “Christian” read Church of England.
Of 1,930 rural faith schools, 1800 are run by the C of E, and the rest Catholic or another Christian denomination.
All these schools are entirely funded by the taxpayer. So, for devotees of another faith - who are also, of course, likely to be UK taxpayers - raising children in an English village is out of the question.
Accordingly, most English villages can be legitimately described as “institutionally racist.”
Wikipedia: “Institutional racism, also known as systemic racism, is defined as policies and practices...that result in and support a continued unfair advantage to some people and unfair or harmful treatment of others based on race.”

In 2018 all the UK’s major supermarket chains signed the The UK Plastics Pact agreeing to achieve, among other things, the following by 2025:
Eliminate problematic or unnecessary single-use packaging.
Ensure 100% of plastic packaging is reusable, recyclable or compostable.
But it is now accepted these targets won’t be achieved.
However, France has taken a more draconian approach to plastic waste.
From January 2022 the French banned plastic packaging for most fruit and veg.
Should the UK government take the same approach?

Of 14,000 cemeteries in the UK, few are as massive as Cathays Cemetery in Cardiff.
It covers 100 acres - that’s 50 soccer pitches, making it the third largest cemetery in the country.
Since opening in 1859, 250,000 people have been buried here. Sadly, nearly all are long forgotten.
Nowadays, there are few new burials as 80% of British people are cremated - one of the highest cremation rates in the world.
Cathays Cemetery is surrounded by residential neighbourhoods, but you’ll meet few people enjoying its tranquility, and kids hardly ever.
So, now that Britain is one of the most secular societies in the works and so few people are buried anywhere, shouldn’t we start decommissioning our cemeteries and return these huge areas of land to the enjoyment and amenity of the living?
