Yes, The Old Horse on London Road is now part of The Beautiful Pubs Collective (joining The Rutland & Derby, The Forge Inn and Knight & Garter).

The kitchen is currently being refurbished, so in the meantime you can enjoy a range of pub snacks, including homemade scotch eggs, locally made big samosas, freshly made cobs, sausage rolls and more.

And when the kitchen reopens the carvery WILL be back. Yes, the carvery is staying.

There’s also set to be some joint investment with Everards to evolve the pub and garden area later in the year.

I definitely recommend adding pub snacks in front of the fire to your January plans.

Who fancies brisket for brunch?

Having previously enjoyed their evening menu, we tried the brunch menu at Stoneygate’s Oakey Smokey and it did not disappoint.

Meaty spins on traditional breakfast dishes, buns, sub sandwiches, kids menu and more. Plus plenty of vegetarian options for non-meat eaters.

They’re open Tuesday - Sunday and brunch is served daily until 3pm (main menu until 9pm).

There are just 5 performances left of Curve’s hit festive production, My Fair Lady. We gave it a full 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very limited tickets remaining. Best availability Friday afternoon and evening or Saturday evening. Tickets available via that CURVE theatre, Leicester website or Box Office.
