The new Lotus Eletre is here...
Starting at 89K with a claimed 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) of under three seconds for the Eletre R, and a WLTP range of up to 600km (373 miles) is available to order now. Lotus are branding this as 'Technology, performance and luxury in a spacious and practical pure-electric hyper-SUV..'

So the transformation of Lotus continues with the arrival of the Eletre hyper-SUV we will excitedly reserve judgment until we have a drive and put through the AutoEV road test..

Alpine’s A290_β is the first step towards the all-electric offering by 2024. 'This urban show car has rewritten the playbook for electric hot hatches.'

The A290_β claims to 'combine a racing soul with urban influences designed for a new generation of hot-hatch enthusiasts'. It has the driver’s seat on the centreline, like a racing car, it can also carry two passengers slightly behind the driver – one on either side...

AutoEV are looking forward to getting our hands on this one...

Tomorrow (Wednesday)evening at 7pm...
AutoEV tests 3 cars, the new BMW iX1 which wades into battle with the Tesla Model Y and the Volvo XC40 Recharge. And to really put them through their paces, we decided to stage our biggest triple test ever by reviewing them along the new South West 660 , a tourist route that has become the South West England equivalent of Scotland's NC500 encompassing Devon & Cornwall and the dramatic Jurassic Coastline.

For decades, Toyota (the world's largest car manufacturer) has given us hybrids, and with huge success. The Prius, once the darling of Hollywood and every Uber driver, has seen to that. Yet a full battery electric vehicle has never been forthcoming from the Japanese giant. Until now. And their first, the bZ4X is aimed straight at the most competitive marketplace of them all, the mid-sized crossover/SUV sector. By teaming up with their technical partners, Subaru, Toyota hope that the bZ4X will appeal due its more SUV-like nature rather than the usual urban crossover style. Have they got it right? Skoda Enyaq Coupe vRS
We love the Skoda Enyaq at AutoEV. In fact, of all the mid-sized crossovers from the Volkswagen Group that are on their MEB platform, we think it is the one to have, even over the ID.4/ID.5 and Audi Q4 etron. But now Skoda have upped the ante with a more powerful vRS model. And not only that, you can also have it in a Coupe bodystyle. So, is this the Enyaq to have? Is this the one that delivers the killer blow to its cousins from Volkswagen and Audi, not to mention all the other sporting SUV coupes out there?
