Please check out the Roxanne film, called “Roxanne Roxanne”, released on Netflix in 2017. This biopic is both riveting and informative.

Congratulations to Frankie Beverly, who posthumously received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy at the 2025 Recording Academy's Special Merit Awards Ceremony. The award to Frankie Beverly was accepted by his son, Anthony Beverly, and by Ronald “Roame” Lowry of TMF, formerly a longtime member (55 years) of Beverly's group, Maze.

THE MARGATE SOUL WEEKENDER 2025 – A RETURN TO ITS ROOTS
1st-3rd August 2025 | Margate Soul Festival | Newgate Lower Promenade
S.O.S Band and Drizabone Soul Family Join Star-Studded Margate Soul Weekender Lineup!
Tickets: Weekend passes and day tickets are available now at https://margatesoulfestival.co.uk starting at £60 for day passes and only £110 full weekend. All tickets will incur booking fees.

The Margate Soul Weekender is delighted to announce the addition of two iconic acts to its Saturday lineup: S.O.S Band, known for their timeless hits like “Just Be Good to Me”, “The Finest” and “Take Your Time (Do It Right)”, and the ever-soulful Drizabone Soul Family with their timeless hit “Real Love”. These legends will take the stage on Saturday, August 2, 2025, as part of a vibrant weekend of music on the stunning Newgate Lower Promenade.

The excitement continues on Sunday, August 3, 2025, with an unforgettable closing performance featuring Earth, Wind & Fire by Al McKay and TMF Maze, formerly of Maze comprising the 5 former band members of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. TMF formerly of Maze will bring their legendary smooth soul/R&B sound to Margate, performing timeless classics like “Joy and Pain”, “Too Many Games“, “Before I Let Go”.

This year’s Margate Soul Weekender, running from August 1–3, 2025, promises a world-class celebration of soul, funk, and jazz, attracting music lovers from across the UK and beyond.
