Meet our new Treasurer!

Hi everyone!

I’m Risper, a first year undergraduate Economics student and I am the current StagRadio’s treasurer! I decided to join StagRadio because I would love to make podcasts, primarily focusing on the beauty in Africa, but I also see StagRadio as a platform for people to enhance their creativity. I hope I get to work with y’all who would like to explore their creative side :)

Hello! 🤗 I’m a Surrey postgraduate of Creative Music Technology, currently studying of Film, Animation and Digital Arts (.surrey) 🎸🎬 I’ve been with Stag Radio for a few years in numerous roles, and love producing and creating art and entertainment of all shapes and sizes! 🤩🎧

I’m currently producing a podcast called Beyond: Surrey, interviewing creative people that have come through the university’s exceptional creative departments. 🎛️🎨🎺

If you’re looking to me for any sort of a manifesto, I am a hot chocolate lover til death do us part, so I can promise the station will always have a plentiful stock 🙏🍫

Meet our new Marketing Manager!

Hi! My role at the station is to ensure that we have a platform at Stag Radio that informs our audiences about upcoming shows, podcasts and events! I respond to many emails and social media messages, so if you have any questions, ask away!

Some things that would be interesting to know? Well, I’m native in three languages, a licensed scuba diver and sailor and I’m on the Surrey volleyball team!

In particular, this leaflet from the late 70s details recognisable features of Guildford such as a Star Wars screening at the Odeon, the building... plus, a cheeky detail about then programme director Michael Garwood's radio history...! 🤭☠️📻

Today is my 21st birthday, and I just want to take a moment to say thank you, for so many people and so many opportunities that frankly won't fit in this caption. I love being a part of Stag Radio, and I love seeing all of your responses to my stories and posts, whether, creative, silly or supportive.

Better still, I'm grateful beyond words can express (though I will still try) that I could incorporate this and so many more brilliant, enthusiastic societies into the mammoth undertaking that has been . After all the stress, anguish, literal blood, sweat and tears that it cost, our shared success made every second worth it, and this evening my gratitude for my role in it brought me to tears. Every person on the team has my deepest respect, and my heart, which will never be lost.

This has been an insane semester for so many reasons, but seeing the nonsense, the joy, the memes that roles like this can create keep me motivated to continue, and that would not be possible without any of the wonderful humans I've spent time with this semester.

Thank you for making me love you all so much that I went soppy; I can't wait to see how soppy you'll make me over the next year!
