⚠️Cold Case appeal | Seven-year-old girl brutally murdered⚠️

*We want to hear from anyone with suspicions or information*

Thames Valley Police is making a public appeal on the 30th anniversary of the murder of Stacey Queripel.

The seven-year-old went missing from her home in Ladybank in Bracknell on January 24, 1993.

Tragically, her body was found later the same day in woodland near South Hill Park.

We believe there are people who have suspicions about Stacey’s murder, but for whatever reason they are yet to inform the police. The time has come to provide that information so we can get justice for Stacey and her family.

You can report any suspicions or information by:

🚨 MURDER INVESTIGATION

We have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man at a property in Brize Norton, West Oxfordshire.

We were called by South Central Ambulance Service to an address in Lock Court, at just before 10.30pm last night, following reports of a disturbance.

Very sadly a man died at the scene.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Jon Capps of the Major Crime Unit said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation.

"We are treating the incident as a murder inquiry due to the reports of a disturbance at the property late yesterday evening, together with witness accounts to date.

“The exact cause of death is yet to be established and we are awaiting results from a Home Office post-mortem examination, which is due to be conducted on Friday.

“No arrests have been made, but we are making fast-time enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

"A scene-watch is likely to remain in place for some days.

“Although we believe that this incident occurred inside a property, I would appeal to anybody who feels that they have any information that can assist this investigation to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“You can do so by reporting via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230023785.

“Alternatively, for anonymity, you can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Local Policing Area Command for Cherwell & West Oxfordshire, Superintendent Emma Garside, said: “Naturally, this incident will be concerning for the local community, but we have a team of Major Crime detectives investigating this as a top priority.

“We will also ensure there is an increased police presence with reassurance patrols in the area over the coming days, and I would urge anybody who has any concerns to please talk to one of our officers, who will be able to address these concerns with you.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died, and we will continue to conduct thorough enquiries, including house to house enquiries and CCTV investigations to ascertain what has happened.”

Police investigation to the disappearance of Leah Croucher have recovered her property from an address in Milton Keynes. Human remains have also been discovered at the same address but confirmation of identity has yet to be released. If you have any information about this case, please contact the police as soon as possible.

🚨 UPDATE 🚨

Officers conducting a murder investigation in connection with the disappearance of Leah Croucher in Milton Keynes are today providing a further update.

Specialist teams and forensic officers remain at the scene in Loxbeare Drive, Furzton, where human remains were located. Items and personal possessions of Leah were also located inside the address, following information received to Thames Valley Police by a member of the public on Monday evening.

We are dealing with a difficult and challenging scene and are conducting our investigations thoroughly and with dignity, ensuring that all of our actions are carried out in a respectful manner. A Home Office post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Friday (14/10), although this may take some time, as will the formal identification of the deceased person located inside the property.

Forensic examinations will continue at the scene, and this may take several weeks. Therefore, there will continue to be a scene-watch at the address and an increased presence of police officers in the area.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, Thames Valley Police’s head of crime, said: “Leah’s family and friends remain uppermost in our thoughts at this extremely difficult time.

“We are continuing to keep them updated on any developments, and we would again ask the media to respect their privacy.

“I would also like to thank the local community for their support and patience while our investigation continues. Naturally, there is a thirst for information, and I can reassure both the media and the community, that when we are able to, we will provide updates publicly.

“Our Major Crime Unit have launched a murder investigation as a result of our findings this week, and as such, I would again like to appeal to anybody who may have any information around the disappearance of Leah to please get in contact with us. It may be that you have had information over the last three years and eight months that you did not consider relevant.

“If you have, I would urge you to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or online, no matter how insignificant you believe this information to be. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“We are absolutely committed to finding out what has happened to Leah. As a community, who have been so supportive since Leah’s disappearance, I know you want to help as well, and I thank the many people who have got in touch during the course of our investigations.”
