Not exactly a location/event I'm used to a wedding! However had an awesome day filming for What a performance by the whole band and the atmospheric duo during the day.

Also cheers to for loaning the gimbal and confirming my plans to get one myself!

Some awesome video to come - all the lights and smoke effects!

Putting together a couple videos highlighting the different offerings they are able to supply events and big days with!

You don't know how to use video.

I don't mean that in a bad why, but you don't.

And there is nothing wrong with that, none of us are experts on everything.

So when approaching a videographer, video company, production company whatever you want to call them..

Make sure they can actually explain to you and show you HOW to use the video you're getting done

AND how it will add value to your business

Too often I see businesses get a nice shiny new video done, post it to Facebook and..

*Crickets*

That's why we take implementation just as seriously as pre production and filming.

Implementation/distribution is where everything comes together, and puts your video in front of the right people.

The trick is to know how to do that.

That's what we do.

Personality first.

For most businesses the person who started it, is their biggest advocate, the person who talks most passionately and their greatest asset.

That person is (usually) their best asset when it comes to selling and explaining a business.

When they're face to face the love for a business and passion they have spills over.

Oh daaammnnnnn..

Where is this person, their personality and passion?!

Feel like I've stepped into a clinical room with white walls and stainless steel surfaces.

Why, oh why, oh why would you not take that experience of meeting you and leverage it online.

So everyone can see just how important the business is to you, just how much you care and why you're better than everyone else in your sector.

I don't know about you but if I'm comparing solutions to a problem I have.

I'm going with the business that's got a face and personality to it.

Use. Your. Personality.

Capturing experience.

Lots of businesses have a great customer experience.

They've used blood, sweat and tears to ensure a best experience before customers.

But they don't use that it their marketing.

Imagine your customers knowing exactly how great working with you would be, what they could expect and why they should use you.

Before they ever have to invest any money or take a leap of faith.

You've done the hard work, now show it off.

Massive thankyou to .langrish and the team for this.

Questioning what people want is what we do.

There are too many yes men in the world, and we don't intend to be one of them.

Businesses are becoming hyper aware of the need for video.

It's perfect to get your message out there, connect with your audience and build those vital relationships.

However too often there is no time taken to learn and understand a business.

I love video.

It's so fun and that's where my original passion for it comes from. Creating. Putting a collection of seemingly random imagery together and at the end having something that can create genuine emotion.

But is that enough? 😕

Spoiler alert. No.

This is the realisation I had that lead to me approaching video for what it is - the BEST marketing tool a busines can use 📈

The thing is it has to be used, implemented and planned with business in mind.

Video is so much more than something that just makes you look good. It can truly be used within a business to help you:

Because of all of these things lead a business to have the identity, the ethos and ethics that they operate by.

For Andrea this was a love of animals (especially elephants, hence the name tusk 🐘) and trying to run the businesses as ethically and sustainably as possible, even being the first carbon zero restaurant in Liverpool - big result.

Cracking day filming with at the can't wait to get the footage put together and see what we got.

Probably the best day we could have picked, lots of sun all day although it was still just above freezing!

I'm normally looking forward to a video shoot, its the fun part of the job where all the planning and meetings come together and (usually) things go smoothly and everyone has a fun day.

However I am really excited for Thursday shoot - Why?

First I'm shooting with Andy Otley for his Video Business Card - A fantastic singer, performer and all round top guy.

Second and with big thanks to we are filming in the awesome which is a stunning location, set in the Cheshire countryside

And finally because its been on the cards since last November! But between scheduling, Christmas break and a dose of Covid its had to wait until now.

Roll on Thursday and seeing how this shot list actually looks.
