Three years ago today I took the leap and went full time self-employed. I can't believe how quickly that time has gone, but it's safe to say that it is the best thing I have ever done!

Looking back at the past three years, I feel as though I have achieved so much, from getting through the madness of 2021, to filming my first destination wedding and being nominated for an award, it has been quite the journey so far!

It’s amazing to be a part of the wedding industry and work with so many like minded people, each supplier I have met along the way has been so friendly and supportive, some of which I can now call my friends too.

I really do feel so fortunate to be able to call this my job. I absolutely love documenting such a significant day in my couples lives and creating something which will be treasured for years to come. I have now filmed well over one hundred weddings, so thank you all for allowing me to continue doing this - I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store!

Chrissy & James had a beautiful September wedding at Penshurst Place & Gardens - they tied the knot in the church next door before heading to the venue to kick off their reception.

Myself and Parkershots Photography were spoilt for choice with the acres of gardens that the venue has to offer, especially with the classic Rolls Royce parked outside the front of the house too!

It was such a pleasure to capture their wedding day, so thank you to Chrissy & James for having me involved!

I’m back in the office after taking a little break before the busy wedding season gets underway. Having been away on holiday I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share some more from another recent trip - Italy!

I’m still not over our time in Lake Como with Viktoria & Alessandro, it was a real pinch me moment filming in such a beautiful location. Walking the cobbled streets that surround the lake before ending our shoot in style with that classic Italian boat.

It was great to spend a few days with Millen Photo and Film & Sam Wilkinson Videography who both got some brilliant content too. Considering how last minute this shoot was planned, I think we all did a very good job - hopefully there are many more adventures like this to look forward to in the future!

There are now over 2,000 of you following me over on Instagram, so I thought it would be a good time to say hello and introduce myself again 👋

I’m Lewis, a wedding videographer based in Suffolk, I began filming weddings in 2018 whilst studying Film at Uni and I haven’t looked back since. I am incredibly fortunate to be able to call this my job, documenting one of the most significant days of your lives is really special and I love being able to piece it all together for you to relive as a film afterwards - your reactions make all the hard work in the edit worth it!

Outside of weddings, I enjoy going to gigs, the cinema, football, cooking, traveling and just generally exploring new places.

Thanks for following my work on here and for all your continued support. I can’t wait for the wedding season to kick off again next month, so I can get back to creating!

We had the most amazing few days exploring the stunning Lake Como in Italy.

We took a stroll around the lakeside with Viktoria & Allesandro before ending our shoot in an iconic italian style boat, overlooking the snow capped mountains - I think this was the highlight for everyone!

I can’t wait to share more from what we got up to, but for now here is a little insight into our trip. A big thank you to Millen Photo and Film and for making it happen!

A recent teaser from Lizzie & Will’s wedding at the stunning Butley Priory, with their wedding in October, they really embraced the autumnal tones with the bridesmaid dresses, flowers and beautiful decor for the ceremony and wedding breakfast - it all looked so great on camera!

A huge thank you to the team at Butley Priory too, as they have very kindly put me on their recommended supplier list, so I’m very much looking forward to capturing many more weddings there in the future!

Some of you may remember that I entered The Wedding Industry Awards towards the end of last year and was fortunate enough to reach the East of England regional final, whilst I didn’t win an award that night, it was still great to celebrate being involved in such a fantastic industry.

After the national final last week, all entrants were able to read through the feedback their couples had taken the time to leave for them in the voting process, and sitting down to read mine has left me speechless. I can’t thank all my lovely couples enough for taking the time to vote for me and to leave such lovely feedback, all of your kind words have blown me away!

🌺 It took me a long time to find this path; I was stuck in a rut for years while working in retail. During my time working in a supermarket, I discovered that I love to help people. I wanted to find my own way of helping people, but I didn’t know how to until I heard about virtual assistants.

🌺 I have friends and family who run their own businesses, so I see how easily they become overwhelmed with a long to-do list, and that was my lightbulb moment. I knew I could use my social media knowledge and my organisational skills to create a virtual assistant business to help small businesses save time and have a better work life balance.

Exciting news...I'm a regional finalist! 🎉

I'm absolutely thrilled to have reached the regional finals for this year's The Wedding Industry Awards, especially as this is the first time that I've entered the awards!

I'm blown away by all the support I've had and I can't thank my lovely couples enough for taking the time to vote for me, it really does mean the world!

It's a proud moment for me to reach the finals and to be up against some of the top videographers in the region. Roll on the 14th November at Offley Place for the awards night to see how I get on!

It's been a while since I've shown my face, so I thought it would be a good time to say hello again!

I'm about halfway through my weddings for this year and have been a part of some amazing days so far - I'll be sharing some 2023 highlight films soon!

Today is 2 years since I went full time self-employed and I can't believe how quickly time has gone. I remember writing that post saying how I'll look forward to the new opportunities it'll bring to my business and now, I'm writing this post by a pool in Southern France, waiting to film my first destination wedding and I'm beyond excited.

It's crazy to think how this journey with my little business has taken me here and I'm forever grateful for all the opportunities I've had so far. So a big thank you for all your continued support and for trusting me to capture your wedding days!
