Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate the launch of the Elphinstone Review‘s 9th volume! It was a year of hard work, but the result is definitely something to be proud of. All the best to the authors, editors, and everyone who helped to make this possible!

CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear all,

The Elphinstone Review, the University of Aberdeen’s student-led undergraduate academic journal, is now accepting submissions! The journal’s aim is to showcase the very best of undergraduate work at the University of Aberdeen and produce a journal that reflects the breadth of the work carried out by students.

This is a unique opportunity to be published in an academic journal as an undergraduate student. Please note that you are more than welcome to use essays submitted as part of your University courses.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, January 31, 2023, midnight. Articles should be:

- less than 4000 words (excluding footnotes and bibliography);
- your documents should be submitted in Word format, and your name should be included in the title of your document;
- your work should be referenced using the APA style format
- an abstract can be included, but is not necessary.

CALL FOR EDITORS

Dear all,

The Elphinstone Review is delighted to announce that we are looking for dedicated editors to join our team. This will be our ninth annual issue, and our goal continues to be showcasing some of the best undergraduate work of all disciplines at the University of Aberdeen.

The editorial board is looking for enthusiastic students with a strong desire to further the University's history of academic excellence. It is an opportunity to be part of the production of a student-led university journal and acquire invaluable experience – regardless of your future career plans. Editing and publishing experience is beneficial but not necessary as you will be provided with guidance and training. Applicants should currently be at least in their second year of study, or at a Postgraduate level.
