has just gone way up in my estimation. I've always liked TH as an actor I've enjoyed many many of his movies, but his public condemnation of such a massive atrocity against African-Americans, not being taught to generations of white Americans, deserves appreciation. He said "I'm mad that I've grown up my whole life and never knew about this".

It's a serious question for a lot of small business owners. We recognise that SM is where our potential present and future clients are, and were supposed to be putting ourselves Infront of them by offering solutions to their problems, right? Right, and this is where I say it's easier said than done..... don't judge me, I'm good at my business, I'm just not that great at SM. I could learn, but what should I focus on first? where should my learning start?

It's January 2022 and I've had the great fortune of working with some great brands, businesses', companies and talented individuals throughout 2021 and for this I'm very grateful.

Since the start of the pandemic and throughout 2021, I've come to realise that people can be very resilient and innovative when it comes to their determination to protect and not loose their business, which might have been a life long dream, not to mention the hard work, to this pandemic and have found such innovative and creative ways to keep on going.

As a voiceover artist it can sometimes feel like a big ask to approach businesses to engage your services to promote their product, service or just meeting and internal need, whilst they are challenged with finding creative ways to keep their businesses afloat.

I'm very grateful to each and everyone of you who said "Yes, lets do this!" and in these still uncertain and changing times I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! the very best of growth, productivity, creativity, Health, Wealth and success throughout 2022 and beyond.

In the Booth with MisIsles Voices.... Give yourself every opportunity to hone your skills, because believe it or not, voiceover is about more than just your voice. I've been working on a very interesting project for a client who requested a musical backing track with the VO audio. Working with and editing audio is a technical skill that you would do well to practice in your DAW. It's time consuming work, but the end results are so satisfying. Once you know your clients preferred music genre, be sure to ONLY select music.

This is a principal that I live by. As a voiceover artist this kind of attitude to your work is what will set you apart from your counterparts. You may have the best sounding voice and be a talented artist, but people will forget what you said and remember how you made them feel... Family, friends and loved ones...giving that little extra can make a world of difference...

Hey there lovely people, welcome back to In the Booth with MisIsles Voices....

My question today is, "How do your physical feelings, comfort or discomfort impact or affect how you feel and deliver your vo work?"

When I arrived in the Booth today, I did all my initial set ups and got stuck in, but after only a few minutes, I realised my energy was off because I was feeling cold...
This reminded me how important it is to ensure that you check your physical feelings are appropriately connected to your emotional expressions, when delivering your vo work. Always take a few minutes to do a vocal warm-up before you start any recordings, a warmed up voice is so much sweeter and your clients will thank you for it. 😉🎤🎧
