Having dried out after a day with Mitch, got wet again riding a loop of the stunning New Forest for a Big Ride.

Beautiful part of the world covered in stunning roads and wildlife.

This dude didn’t look too happy though… bit of a long face…

Smiling all the way to the weekend....that's the Yamaha MT-09SP effect!!

Been out doing some pillion riding with tester Jim, for a forthcoming Big Questions Answered in the mag. And I can safely say, the question has well and truly been answered as to whether the MT-09SP is a good pillion bike. You'll have to wait till we print the feature to find out but you can see I'm smiling...so that tells you something.

If you fancy riding some of the route we took, click the link below, it's a very pretty ride and there's a couple of decent pubs and coffee shops on the route. I'd avoid Stamford this weekend though, Burghley Horse Trials are on, so the town's a bit rammed.

Privileged to meet Phil and Paul today, who are riding around the UK coastline to raise money for men’s mental health charity, Andy’s Man Club.

Met them for a cuppa and a burger at The Jolly Roger - Lifesize Models.

Interesting day fiddling about with the new R1300GS Adventure. There's no getting away from the fact she's a big girl (as is the current GSA) but there are so many well-thought out, rugged features that I can see some absolutely loving it. I've got a question for you..... what's your thoughts on maxi scooters?

I've got a Mighty XMAX, and love the practicality of it....massive under seat storage, great fuel economy and perfect for nipping through traffic, plus comfortable on longer journeys.

I'm persuading Editor, Matt, that it would be good to feature the odd scooter in RiDE. What do you think??

Great day at Snetterton on the BMW Club road bike trackday. Really nice event that's full of normal bikes, not wannabe racers. Spent the morning helping RiDE reader Tim get his confidence around the track and the afternoon going as quick as I dare on our long-term S1000RR. Bit different to the Gold Wing I was on last week... My. Eyes. Are. Out. On. Stalks.

This is a great little ride through the Devon countryside.
High hedgerows make way for open moor land but watch out for the sleeping sheep, wandering horses and the odd ice-cream van!!
Jim and I spent the afternoon exploring a few weeks back, before we headed to the fortnightly bike meet at Jolly Roger. Cracking collection of bikes to view and models that take your breath away, including Donkey from Shrek, a plethora of Minions and the odd dinosaur!

Here’s the route, that took up off the boring dual A38, into the heart of the country.

We've been to Uttoxeter for the Women In Moto event today. It's aimed at getting more women into motorcycling, with taster rides for complete beginners through to test rides on the latest Honda and Zero test bikes. There's also skill sessions with the local police.

Akaso

Here are the videos taken from the action-camera product test in the June issue. It looks like we have to upload them one at a time. Obviously the videos have been shrunk significantly to make them relevant to here but you should be able to discern the differences between them. This Akaso version is shorter than the others as the battery was exhausted by the time the second stage of footage (with horizon levelling activated where applicable) was shot. Jim
