Bold claim by Cllr Webb. Unfortunately, to be accepted as a Rough Sleeper you have to be "found" on the streets by the Outreach Team. You can't tell them where you'll be, to be "found"; you can't just go to the Council House and declare yourself. There are people sleeping rough, who haven't been offered accommodation because they haven't , officially, been "found" and counted as a Rough Sleeper. (Cabinet meeting 12/4/23)
Cllr Graves accuses the Leader of Derby City Council (Cllr Poulter) of offering "bribes" to ensure that the Tory budget is passed.
A few minutes earlier the Council had voted NOT to accept the Budget. This is very unusual, and puts the Council in a difficult situation.

Becketwell Performance Venue : Tory Cabinet assured the Council that all financial risk for this fixed £45.8m contracted project rests with St James’ Securities. At Wednesday’s Council meeting, Cllr Shanker asked Cllr Hassall for reassurance that the project would not cost the Council a “penny more than the £45.8m”. Cllr Hassall’s response was not convincing. The contract price is not subject to inflation – it is fixed.
Cllr Poulter (Leader) advised that the Cabinet meeting (10th Nov) would not mention Dubrek Studios - described as the "other property", and then this happened....

An Urgent Leader meeting to make a last minute decision to privatise the Moorways Sports Stadium. Cllr Bolton "chastises" Parents of special needs children for disrupting the Council Meeting last Wednesday. Perhaps an action by the Council to try and understand why the disturbance took place might have been a positive outcome...or are they just seeing the Parents as "naughty children"...to be regretted.
