The spotlight this week is on our North Yorkshire barn location.

It had a 2 day furniture shoot last week filming beds. For one of the shots the client needed to use a forklift, which is no problem at this location as it has car access.

This location has been used for multiple fashion shoots, a car and motorbike shoot, plus a shoot for a fire extinguisher company (quite a nerve wracking shoot!)

It’s a fantastic versatile location and we can’t wait to see what it’s used for next.

This shoot is up there as one of my top 3 shoots to ever work on. A dream client in and location owners who loved every minute of the shoot!

This was filmed across 2 different weeks, which meant the owners had to move out twice. But, everything ran smoothly and the brilliant team working on it kept the owners updated throughout the shoot.

They knew that the owners were HUGE Manchester City fans, especially their young daughter. They didn’t dare tell her who was filming in her house until it was finished. Very kindly the crew asked .haaland to sign a kit for her along with a drawing of Haaland that she had done for her Dad for Christmas. To say that she was thrilled was an understatement, and it was lovely to see her reaction when they told her who has been in her house.

The spotlight this week is on this stunning West Yorkshire location house.

The beautiful period property has an open plan kitchen which has been used for lifestyle shoots, a furniture TV commercial and last year the dining area was fitted with carpets for a carpet product shoot.

The reason this location works so well is the rooms are large, it is stylish throughout and it has multiple shooting options including bedrooms and bathrooms.

Our spotlight this week is on this stylish Cheshire location house, which has consistently been one of our most popular locations since we photographed it in 2020.

Clients love the open plan, minimalistic vibe throughout the property.

This location has had Raheem Sterling shooting for Gillette, Michelle Keenan shooting for Very, Shark, Silver Cross, The Hut Group, Brother and Vax to name just a few of the shoots over the years.

Another thing that makes this location popular and clients returning, is the owners are fabulous too. They have a shoot today with Brother printers, who historically wanted different locations for each shoot. They love this house and the owners that much that they have returned six times!

We love being sent behind the scenes from shoots and events that we’ve helped to arrange.

We were briefed by
to find a venue in Manchester for a special screening event in January. They went to recce 4 of our locations in December and chose this fabulous space as they knew it would work perfectly.

Both the client and location owner loved working together, and it was great to receive messages after the event to hear it was a huge success.

This Manchester location house has just finished a week long shoot for a TV commercial.

The preparation began 2 weeks ago when the kitchen and a bedroom were painted different colours.

Due to the size of the crew and areas of the property being used, it was easier for the owners to take an overnight hotel allowance for their family. This isn’t something that usually happens but on certain jobs it’s easier than living through the shoot!

The garden was a main focal point of this shoot with certain shots being achieved by using a neighbours garden too.

The rooms were painted back yesterday and the feedback from the client has been great.

This Cheshire location is coming to the end of a week long Christmas shoot. The 🎄has been up all week which must have felt surreal in the sunshine.

This location is always a popular choice for product and lifestyle shoots due to the neutral decor and open plan layout of the rooms.

This beautiful West Yorkshire location house has its first shoot today.

This location works really well for shoots due to the size and shape of the rooms. The large open plan white kitchen has a great depth of shot whether clients are shooting towards the kitchen or the living area. The wide hallway offers the ability to capture lifestyle shots of a family at home.

Today’s shoot is in the garden, and unfortunately the weather doesn’t look as good as it has been over the past few weeks, so we’re keeping everything crossed rain stays away ☁️

As I’m doing an Instagram live at 12.30 today with Lucy] talking about the wonderful world of locations I thought I’d introduce myself.

I’m Louise, owner of Lifestyle Locations. I started the company 5 years ago with just 17 properties and it has grown over the years and there are now over 200 locations on the website.

My background was financial services marketing (I proof read a lot of terms and conditions!) and then I worked at another agency for 3 years and fell in love with the industry as it was wildly more exciting!

The core of the locations are across Yorkshire (where I’m based) and the North West (where I’m from) with a handful of locations that are in different parts of the UK.

I’ve photographed almost all of the locations on the website, which is really important as it means I know my locations inside and out. When a client rings and asks what the layout is like, or how many cars you can park next to the location I know instantly. I also think it’s important to meet the owners of the property and explain how it all works and what to expect on a shoot, as hosting a location shoot is not for everyone.

What I love most about the job is the excitement of getting a new brief and knowing that I have the perfect location for their shoot. I love making the call (I’m old school and pick up the phone!) to tell a location owner that they’ve been chosen for a shoot.

I’m lucky that I’ve got to work on some amazing shoots over the years and I still shout out and rewind the TV when I spot one of locations on it, I’m not sure that enthusiasm will ever stop.
If I had to pick a favourite shoot it would have to be arranging a shoot for and getting to go and help on the shoot (he was as lovely as he seems), plus it gave me a certain level of kudos with my LFC loving family.

This West Yorkshire location house has just finished a 3 day filming shoot.

The brief for this job was possibly one of the most specific briefs we’ve ever had, quite a few locations had a recce for it, but this fabulous location ticked the box.

We were on set with our lovely Bernese Mountain dog today as he had a small scene, it turns out it’s rather stressful trying to get a Bernese to look like they’re sleeping 🐶😴

We’ll share his starring role as soon as we’re allowed to.

They chose one of our popular West Yorkshire location houses and it was filmed over 2 days. The owners didn’t get a break after filming as they had another shoot booked for the next day!
