The Sussex Film Festival.
Jonathan Wilde has stepped down as Competition Officer for the festival. He has done an amazing job for several years and we are sorry to lose him. He said he has enjoyed his time with us but feels it’s time for someone else to take up the reins. We hope he will continue to enter his excellent films and continue to come along to support us.
Needless to say we are looking for a new competition officer so if anyone fancies volunteering please get in touch at [email protected] it won’t take up that much of your time.

The Sussex Film Festival on Sunday January 16th 2022. We tried something a little different, we used a screen aspect of 21:9 so the ultra wide films could be shown at the same height as the rest but wider, it looked impressive.

The first Sussex Film Festival since lockdown completed successfully. Some great comments received after, everyone seemed to enjoy it.

We completed a recce of Wivelsfield Village Hall on Friday and the building refurbishment is looking good. Just the internal finishes to complete with the grand opening ceremony next Friday 7th January, all ready for our Sussex Film Festival on Sunday 16th. Getting excited now.

24/12/2021

A very happy Christmas and a much better New Year to you all

12/10/2021

Sorry folks, another delay for the Sussex Film Festival. The hall refurb has overrun again, the new date is January 16th 2022 but on the plus side the heating system has been renewed and the roof insulated so, on a cold January afternoon, we will be nice and toasty.

13/08/2021

Great news, the Sussex Film Festival has a new date confirmed, it will now go ahead on Sunday November 28th doors open 2.30 pm. Hope to see lots of you there.

The Sussex Film Festival
Sadly Wivelsfield Village Hall will not be available to us in October due to overrunning building work. This means we will have to change the venue or the date (or both) but we are still determined to go ahead. Watch this space for further information, we are working hard to find an alternative. Thanks.
