Derbyshire Toy Libraries (DTL) exists to support children’s development through the extension of play opportunities; to provide a place for parents and carers to meet; to offer support for parenting and parental involvement in play; to act as a hub within the local community and to provide opportunities for volunteering and learning new skills.
We have four 90-minute stay and play sessions that run each week in Belper, Kilburn, Crich and Grassmoor on Tuesdays Term Time Only 9.30 - 11am Monthly we have a session for multiples families (twins, triplets and more) running from Strutts Centre in Belper.

Toys, party packs and reusable tableware kits are available to hire and we run monthly virtual toy auctions where you can pick up a bargain whilst saving toys from landfill.

We are a registered charity (Number: 1081255) and welcome donations of toys and books – further details can be found on our website.

Pre-school, multi-sports coaching for 2.5 – 5 year olds (Monday, Oakwood and Friday mornings, Spondon). Children are provided with an opportunity to experience a wide range of sports skills in early years.
Badminton Coaching Classes and Holiday camps, Derby.
Year 1 – year 11: Children develop shots, movement and match play whilst building knowledge, confidence and teamwork with healthy competition.
All coaching is led by a qualified and experienced Sports Coach: Derby Badminton Olympian Donna Kellogg MBE .

The Families Information Service provides free, impartial information and advice to families about childcare and other services that support families.
Their Family Hub is an online directory that holds information on local and national organisations about family support, the cost of living, things to do in Derby and much more. If you run a service that supports families in Derby, you can advertise it for free on the Family Hub directory. Their online Childcare Directory details all the registered childcare within the city including, nursery schools, day nurseries, childminders, pre-school childcare, before and after schools club and holiday childcare.
The Families Information Service also runs a helpline to chat over all your childcare needs. They can tell you more about how to choose the right childcare for you and how to save money using the various government funding offers. They can send you a 52 Thing to do before you’re 5 pack filled with fun activities which are free or low-cost that parents and children under 5 can do together.

Hello and welcome to First Stage Dance who are joining us on the 4th November.

Established in June 1996, First Stage is one of Derby’s leading Dance and Theatre Academies. Following the ISTD and LAMDA syllabi, we offer a wide variety of Dance, Musical Theatre, Acrobatic and Conditioning classes for ages 2+.
As well as exams, we enter competitions around the country and have a full school show every 18 months. All our teachers are qualified we have our own building with 3 purpose built studios all with mirrors, ballet barres and air conditioning.
We also have an on-site dance shop, changing rooms, waiting areas and ample free parking. We are currently offering a week free trial for all new students, would you like to join our First Stage family?
