๐ FAQ for the GlenTertainment Halloween Meetup ๐
If you have any questions that we haven't covered, feel free to askโchances are, others are wondering the same thing! ๐
โฐ What time can we arrive, and when do we need to leave?
You may arrive anytime after 10am on Friday. If you've booked an event ticket, please vacate your pitch by 3pm on Sunday. ๐ If you'd like to stay an extra night and leave on Monday, please book directly with the pub.

Is anything happening on Sunday?
No, all planned entertainment and activities are on Friday evening and throughout Saturday, from 10am until the event closes at 11:45pm. ๐
๐๏ธ Will there be a lineup/schedule of events?
Yes, a schedule will be provided when you check in and receive your wristband. ๐๏ธ It will detail all the events, times, and locations so you can plan your weekend. ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
๐บ Can I still visit the pub without an event ticket?
Yes, the pub will be open as usual, and you're welcome to visit. However, the event will primarily take place in the function room due to the cooler weather, and only ticket holders will be allowed in the function room. The pub has entertainment on Fri (Karaoke & Disco) & Saturday (Disco) evenings ๐ช
๐ When is the fancy dress?
Fancy Dress will take place on Saturday. You can wear your costume all day or just in the eveningโit's entirely up to you! ๐ญ Judging will take place on Saturday evening.
๐ When will the best-decorated Van/Vehicle/Pitch competition take place?
Judging will take place on Saturday evening between 7pm and 8pm. โณ Make sure your spooky setup is ready! ๐ธ๏ธ The judges will score on creativity, effort, overall impact, attention to detail, and how well you embrace the Halloween theme. ๐งโโ๏ธ
๐ What's the situation with pumpkin carving?
We have a prize for the best pumpkin, ๐๏ธ which will be awarded on Saturday night. There will also be a pumpkin carving session during the day on Saturday. You can either carve your pumpkin ahead of time ๐จ and bring it for judging, or join the carving session. Just make sure to bring a pumpkinโcarved or notโif you'd like to participate! ๐
๐ฝ๏ธ Is there food available on-site?
Yes, the pub has a lovely restaurant with a full menu. ๐ฅ Daytime meals can be ordered anytime, but breakfasts and the Sunday carvery must be booked in advance. ๐ฝ๏ธ If you'd like breakfast or Sunday lunch, let us know as soon as possible since these options are limited and sell out quickly! ๐

๐ฏ๏ธ Noise:
This is a family-friendly event near residents and a caravan park. As part of the pub licensing conditions, there's a strict, council-enforced noise curfew in the camping areas from 11 p.m. onwards. Please respect this by avoiding music and group gatherings after this time. In the licensed areas, music can continue until midnight. When leaving the pub or function room, please be mindful that others may be sleeping and keep noise to a minimum as you return to your camping spot. ๐ Failure to follow these rules could jeopardize future events at this venue and may impact your ability to attend in the future. ๐ป
๐ Food & Drink:
In the pub, function room, and pub outdoor seating areas (including riverside benches), only food and drinks purchased from the venue are permitted. In the camping areas, you're welcome to enjoy your own food and drinks, but please try to support the pub whenever possible. ๐ป๐
๐งก Respect for Others:
Be kind and respectful to everyone. Aggressive behavior, violence, intimidation, or discrimination will not be tolerated. ๐

๐ฅ Open Fires:
For safety reasons, no open fires or fire pits are allowed at this event. Gas fire pits are permitted, and we may have a communal fire, weather permitting. ๐ฅ๐ฏ๏ธ
๐ BBQs:
If youโre bringing a BBQ, it must be raised off the ground. Please avoid placing it directly on grass or hard surfaces to prevent damage. ๐
๐๏ธ Rubbish:
Please take your rubbish home with you, as the site cannot handle the large volume of waste created by the event. Black bags are included in your welcome pack, and more can be requested if needed. โป๏ธ๐๏ธ
๐ EHU (Electric Hook-Up):
Hookups are pre-book only (and are now sold out). Only one vehicle is allowed per hook-up point. EHU splitters are not allowed. ๐โก
๐ฝ Chemical Toilet Emptying:
Please use the designated Elsan point (located between the function room and the EHU field) for emptying chemical toilets. Do not use the site or pub toilets for this. ๐ป
๐ค Water Launch Fees:
If you plan to use the river, a launch fee must be paid at the pub. ๐
๐พ Dogs:
Well-behaved dogs (and owners) are welcome! Please clean up after them. ๐ถ๐ฉ
๐ฃ Fishing:
To fish here, you must have a valid rod license. The fishing pegs are owned by the "Upper Lode Syndicate" and can be booked in advance for ยฃ8 per day. For any fishing inquiries, please contact the Upper Lode Syndicate directly, as the pub does not own or manage the pegs. Be aware that many of the pegs may be overgrown and unusable at this time of year, so itโs recommended to visit beforehand to assess the situation. ๐ฃ๐ฆ
๐ซ Private Event:
This is a ticketed event, and we reserve the right to refuse entry at our discretion. The pub remains open to non-event visitors in areas outside the event space. ๐ป
๐ธ Cash is King:
Due to patchy signal, card machines might not always work. Please bring cash as a backup payment method. ๐ต๐ณ
๐๏ธ Leave It as You Found It (or Better!):
Before leaving, check your pitch and camping area to ensure itโs clean and rubbish-free, ready for the next camper. Letโs leave the site in great shape for everyone! ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ
