Ashville Gardens, Pellon, Halifax
Domestic Property - Proved to be a house involved MP x 4 and 1 Aerial, with fire on the top floor and roof, Fire crews using 2 Hosereel jets, 4 Breathing apparatus and an Aerial Ladder Platform were used to tackle the fire. An inspection was made to check that the fire hadn't spread to the adjoining property. The attic and roof space were involved and a Cannabis farm located which was the probable cause of the fire.
Appliances from Illingworth, Halifax, Odsal, Rastrick, Fairweather Green as ALP support with Huddersfield Aerial Ladder Platform and CLM vehicle attended.

All about Gas, Unit 3B Anchor Bridge Way, Savile town, Dewsbury.
Building Fire - Proved to be a two storey unit in a range of properties on Mill street west, industrial estate. The property was approx. 20m x 20m well alight on arrival of crews from Dewsbury who made incident 5 pumps. Firefighters used 2 Hosereel jets and 4 Breathing apparatus to tackle the fire. Adjoining units were checked for fire spread. Hoses were used across Mill street West and so the road was closed by the police at the request of the fire service. Some appliances were sent to the incident but returned as they were not required. One of these crews were from Mirfield with the Hose Layer and support pump.
Appliances from Dewsbury (2), Ossett, Morley, Cleckheaton, Skelmanthorpe (Welfare Unit), supporting officers and CLM vehicles attended.

Holme Moss, Holmfirth
Rescue from Mud - Proved to be a lady who was stuck in a bog up to her waist on moorland in Holmfirth area whilst walking her dog. Fire crews successfully located the lady and led her to safety. She was left in the care of the ambulance service for a check up.
Appliances from Cleckheaton (Technical Rescue Teams), Rastrick and Holmfirth along with CLM and supporting officers attended.

Durlston Terrace, Wyke, Bradford.
House Fire - Proved to be fire in the kitchen of the property with persons reported inside. WYFRS control room gave two people inside the property fire survival guidance and they were able to make their way out of a first-floor window, where they were rescued by crews and passed to the care of paramedics. Fire crews used 2 Hosereel jets and 4 Breathing apparatus to deal with the fire and Positive Pressure ventilation fan to assist in clearing the property of smoke. During a search of the property the remains of what is thought to be a small cannabis farm were found inside. A man has now been arrested in connection with the matter and enquires remain ongoing today by Bradford District Police.
Appliances from Odsal, Cleckheaton and Bradford attended along with Fire investigation and CLM vehicles.

Building Fire MP x 5 - Proved to be a Part single and part two storey empty property approx. 15m x 15m involved in fire with possible persons reported. The building appears to have been used for the production of cannabis. Fire crews used 1 Large jet, 2 hosereel jets, 1 Aerial Ladder Platform Monitor, 4 Breathing apparatus sets and Positive Pressure Ventilation fans. The fire is now surrounded and damping down in progress. Surrounding roads have been sealed off by the Police whilst the incident is dealt with. Ambulance crews were also standing by at the scene.
Appliances from Bradford (2), Fairweather Green, Shipley, Cleckheaton, Huddersfield (Aerial Ladder Platform), Killingbeck, Skelmanthorpe (Welfare Unit), CLM Vehicles and Supporting Officers along with Fire Investigation officer attended.

Scrap Pile - Damping down and turning over still in operation with 4 Pumps, 2 Aerial Ladder Platforms and High Volume Pump still at the incident. Road closures remain in place around the incident.
Appliances: Dewsbury, Bingley, Odsal and Illingworth and 2 Aerial appliances one from Harrogate attended for Earlier reliefs.

European Metal Recycling Ltd, Knowsthorpe Way, Cross Green, Leeds
Scrap Pile - Proved to be a large pile of scrap metals in an open yard approx. 50m x 50m with 50% well alight. Incident was a MP x 7 and other supporting crews including the High Volume Pumping Unit, Foam Making Units and Hose Layer. Roads around the area were closed off as large diameter hose was used to supply water to tackle the fire which could be seen for miles around. Firefighters were using 3 Ground Monitors, 4 Large Jets, 2 Aerial Ladder Platform Monitors and a Foam Branch on the fire which had an exposure risk to 4 sides of the fireground.
The incident is still open 16 hours after the incident began with crews now damping down. There have been no reported injuries however due to the large response to the incident Yorkshire Ambulance sent Emergency response teams who stood by until released.

Building Fire - Proved to be a 2 storey empty building with the 1st floor well alight. The incident was made a MP x 6 and Aerial Ladder Platform as it was a possible that persons could be involved. Fire crews tackled the fire from outside the property using 2 Large jets and an Aerial Ladder Platform monitor. This was an empty building and possibly being used by rough sleepers. Should any further information be made available the details on this fire will be updated.

The Quarry, Lower Edge Road, Elland
Animal Rescue - Proved to be a dog (Zara) trapped on a ledge at approx. 40m from the top of the quarry. Firefighters used rescue lines and a rescue sled. Crews lowered a firefighter down to the animal on a rescue line whilst the owner attached by a further line shouted to the animal in order to reassure the dog Zara.
The animal was recovered by the fire crews after around 2 hours and reunited with the owner. It was brought to the top of the quarry by using another line further around the quarry and brought up by line rescue teams. The owner was very grateful to the fire service for all there hard work and left the scene to destress and get warm. Teamwork by the teams on scene was clearly evident in bringing this incident to a successful conclusion.
Appliances from Rastrick, Cleckheaton (Technical Rescue Unit and Support Pump) along with CLM and supervisory officer.

House Fire - Proved to be a wheelie bin set alight in the porch area which spread to the house which forms part of 4 flats. Firefighters used 2 Hosereel jets and 6 Breathing apparatus sets and Positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the fire. One casualty self rescued and was treat on scene by fire crews along with Yorkshire ambulance service. The fire is thought to be suspicious at this time and a fire investigation officer has attended the scene along with detectives from Bradford CID. There is a cordon in place around the house whilst investigations are underway and the road has been closed.
Appliances from Bradford (2) and Odsal attended along with a CLM vehicle.

Road Traffic Collision - Proved to be a single vehicle involved with persons trapped. The vehicle a BMW travelling from Halifax was in collision with a wall coming to rest in the centre of the carriageway. Firefighters released the passengers in the vehicle however the driver fled the scene. Both male casualties were taken to hospital one by road ambulance and the other was taken to Leeds Infirmary by Air ambulance. One of the casualties suffered from life threatening injuries the other with less serious injuries.
The driver who fled the scene was arrested later the same evening.
Appliances from Halifax and Illingworth along with CLM attended.
