In tonight's www.brooklandsradio.co.uk/mainlyfolk we catch up with Cara Dillon who is about to release a new album ‘Coming Home’. Cara has been one of Folk’s top performers for the last 25 years. She continues to innovate in her chosen field ably assisted by her husband Sam Lakeman. They are going on tour with their band to promote the new album and will be playing the Landmark Arts Centre on April 3rd. ‘Coming Home’ is multi dimensional and combines Cara’s poetry and song and there is a book as well. All in all this is really special.

In the second hour of tonight's Mainly Folk we have an interview with the excellent Lucy Ward. During the pandemic Lucy started sharing and developing music through the internet with the Icelandic artist Svavar Knutur and a Canadian Folk/Pop singer songwriter Adyn Townes.
This has been so successful that in April they met in Iceland to record an album of this material entitled "Unanswered". Ward Knutur Townes' music is simply glorious and we are so pleased they are now touring and local to us they are at the Riverhouse Barn on October 15th for a lunchtime concert.
