I mean these stats show that EVERY demographic is shopping online.

From browsing a gift for a friends birthday to looking for a recommended tradesman....people are looking on the World Wide Web.

This may mean it can be noisy but believe us when we say, there are soo many ways to stand out and be seen.

First;

⭐ You need to be absolutely aligned with your goals

⭐ You need to WANT to succeed

⭐ You need to be ready

Its so important to adapt.

...because there is so much choice! It is a BUSY ol' place online and at this time of year we go through the BUSIEST period of the year for online shopping...Q4.

To be a part of the aforementioned choice you need to be in amongst them! That means not only letting people know that you are there but letting them know what you offer and why they NEED what you offer.

🌟 Will it make the perfect Christmas present for their partner?

🌟 Will it look absolutely beautiful in their home?

🌟 Will it make a yummy treat for a cosy night-in with their bestie?

Post on your stories, post on your grid/page, add the links, tell YOUR story and help make peoples decision for them. They’ll thank you for it.

(Its also important to remember that once you do capture your ideal audience's attention you need to KEEP it as there is alot of distraction out there so ensure the journey is slick and straightforward. More on this over the coming days) 😉

We are so lucky to have an amazing network of people around us that have championed us from the get-go, from liking our posts, to watching our reels and recommending us you are awesome and we can't thank you enough!

Now I really need a rest 😴 this year has been quite a journey and now I'm going to spend some time with the kids and Max without looking at my phone, I'm going to put my feet up and I might even have a glass of wine! I CANNOT wait for my wonderful business partner to come back to the business in 2022, after having her most beautiful baby boy! 2022 we are coming for you!

For small businesses, Instagram can seem like a very noisy place over Black Friday weekend, in fact, the whole of November can be very loud. BUT there IS space for you! Here are our top tips on how to work Black Friday on Instagram...

✅ Choose your offers and run them from Thursday - Midnight on Monday (minimum) if you can keep them going until Tuesday that's even better! We have seen lots of brands running their offers for the whole of November, you don't have to do that. But remember Monday is Cyber Monday, and Tuesday is the last day of the month and a lot of people will get paid on that day!

✅ Post every day from Monday 22nd to Monday 29th. The algorithm will thank you for it!

✅ Post a combination of content, nows the time to do Reels, IGTV's and lives if you can.

✅ Go live as much as you can even if it's just for 2 minutes (your job over this week is to get in front of your audience as much as possible)

✅ Now is the time to sell. Showcase your products, talk about your bestsellers, and always tell your audience about your offer. Make it easy for your customers - create bundles, perfect pairs, and gift boxes. Make sure the customer journey is seamless.

✅ Plan your posts now and schedule if you can.

✅ It will be noisy out there but there is space for you too!

✅ You can totally do this! Stay true to your brand and post with authenticity.

What even is potential? How do we define it? I know this is something that I have struggled with in the past, the knowing that I can do more…but the problem comes when we start to think about what that “more” is. In truth, the “more” is different for everyone it’s about finding what is right for YOU and setting goals that are specific for YOU.

It’s only now that I am realising my potential and finding what my “more” is. My potential lies in helping other women realise theirs, and the starting point is defining what it is you actually want.

I know you have probably seen my face a lot recently… and thats because my wonderful business partner is on maternity leave! When you are running a business with 2 and then you suddenly go to 1 it’s quite a shock to the system. But… we have spent the last 6 months developing a plan together and one that I am sticking to! I am trusting the process that we spent so long working on and do you know what it’s all happening perfectly!

That’s the thing when you are running a business no one tells you how hard it will be and no one tells you that you will need to adapt and change. But that’s the beauty of it you can change, you can adapt and you can do what is right for you.

In the words of Ross Geller...PIVOT PIVOT!

We are pivoting all the time and although uncomfortable at first, now it's second nature. This past 18 months have been a rollercoaster of a ride and we have learnt sooo much. The main thing being that when running a business you have to be open to pivot and change direction AND THATS OK.

We are 2/3rds of the way through our coaching journey with the wonderful and while Carly is off having a tiny human, Mel (because we love a challenge) will not only be running the business solo (well as solo as it can get when you are surrounded by the most amazing support network of women that has grown over time) but she is also doing One to Many course to enable us to continue to pivot and scale.

C l a r i t y 💡

It’s not just a once in a lifetime thing, it happens over and over again as we move through life.

Sometimes it’s a lightbulb moment and sometimes it isn’t quite as profound and just happens quietly whilst we go about our day.

What I have realised over time is that it isn’t something I have to ‘find’ by myself.
It’s a team effort. My ‘team’ are people from all different areas of my life…family, friends, colleagues, mentors…they’re the ones who have helped me gain clarity on different things throughout different areas of my life.

When you get that lightbulb moment or just that ‘click’ it’s like someone has turned the light on and you can see, really see.

When I first started working for myself I didn’t know then how important clarity is but I do now and it shifts everything…in a good way.

Things people in marketing say that you don't understand!

Tell your story.

What does tell your story even mean? How much do I need to share and what do I need to say? These are questions we get asked a lot.

Often when we hear "Tell your story" we think, "where the hell do I start", and then overwhelm sets in and we end up not posting anything or we just post something generic. We want to say to you it's up to YOU how much you share. You don't have to share something if it makes you feel uncomfortable. You don't have to tell everyone everything and you don't have to talk about what you had for breakfast lunch and dinner (of course if you want to then you absolutely can!)

Things that make "Telling your story" easier.

✨ Talk about things that inspire you and that you love. When you do this you are coming from a place that is genuine and authentic and your audience will be able to see that.

✨ Talk about your experiences and how you feel with out being specific. No one needs to know dates, times, places and names. It's all about communicating to your audience so they are able to relate to how you are feeling.

✨ Have a strategy. We cannot tell you how important this is. It is essential. Having a strategy can alleviate the stress that can come with "Telling your story". If you do the ground work, you will know from the get go what you are comfortable with.

✨ Remember, no one knows your story better than you!

Running your own business, do you ever feel like you cannot see the wood for the trees? There’s no doubt about it, it is HARD work. The rewards can be invaluable but the grind is REAL.

There will always be areas of running your business that you absolutely love and other areas...not so much 😬

Today we had a meeting with our accountant and our insurance company. Both absolute necessary tasks but definitely not high up there as one of the most exciting of days 😂 🤯

Working for yourself means embracing the good days, the bad days AND the mundane days and knowing that they all play a necessary part of this crazy rollercoaster ride of running your own business 🎢
