A couple of weeks between sessions and I’m back on the bank for another day/nighter down the syndicate water. I’ve been a member here for many years partly because the lake is never busy and the carp are in amazing condition and growing. One day soon the lake will have a fifty pounder or even two and it’ll be nice to see one lucky angler bank it. But I digress.

This session stated well with this 28lb 8oz mirror. I should have topped up with a Spomb of Cell but I didn’t (bad move) and as expected nothing else turned up. But I’m happy with the result. Back next week. 👌

Well it’s been a dry few weeks for me recently with work and a bad back plus a couple of blank sessions but I finally got back out for a 24hour trip. Simple tactics again did the trick and stopped me going crazy. Cell boilies with a Cell hookbait always seems to get you out of trouble and at first light this awesome 39lb 4oz made an appearance. Intervalometer played up and stopped working but I got the image (eventually). It pays to keep going even when things get in the way or you’re struggling. It’s worth it in the end. 👊🏻

24hour session for me this week, I just had to have ago as it’s a full moon! Well I never really thought a full moon brings out the big commons and this trip it was either luck, skill or moon I don’t care. Some will say the moon many will say all three. What would you say? Anyway this beautiful 36lb 6oz common loved a ISO Fish hookbait on a Clinga Wafter rig. 👊🏻🍻

Nice to have another under the belt after a few dry sessions recently. Not the biggest in the lake at 29lb but a welcome one that loved the ISO Fish 10mm boilies. Clinga Ronnie on a clip system making up the rig. 👊🏻🍻

With the hot weather ahead it’s even more important to keep your lovely carp wet all the time. I always have a bucket of water with me making sure my prize is always covered. A quick few photos and then returned to be caught again by another lucky angler.

Another overnight success last week bagging this chap weighing in at 27lb 8oz. As mentioned in earlier captures, it fell to simple baiting tactics with a few kilos of Cell and ISO Fish Boilies to an area of activity. Rig wise I used a Spinner with a NEW Trakker Fused Boom section with a Clinga Hook and a Mainline Salty Squid Wafter hookbait.💪🏻

Simple baiting tactics again with a few kilos of Cell and ISO Fish Boilies to a clear area did the trick. Rig wise I used a Spinner with a NEW Trakker Fused Boom section with a Clinga Hook the only difference was I used a Mainline Salty Squid Wafter hookbait. Simple set-up, simple tactics. 💪🏻

This little stunning mirror from my last session fell to Cell boilies with Cell and Shellfish Black Pepper snowmen hookbait fished on a slip d rig with a Clinga hook. Simple tactic great results. 😎👍

Nice northern lights weekender back down the pond. It’s so great to be back and bumping into everyone again and great to be getting amongst the carp as its been a very difficult and frustrating start to the year fishing wise.
