Leeds Museums and Galleries are consulting on changes to the service in response to Leeds City Council facing unprecedented financial challenges.

There are two proposals, which are now out for public consultation:

- To close Abbey House Museum to the public, to make an annual saving of £160,000 starting in 2025/26.

- To change admission charges at Kirkstall Abbey to charge everyone to visit the main Abbey ruins.

These proposals are subject to public consultations which are live until January 23.

Our little one had a fantastic festive visit to see the big man in red, with Christmas crafts, a chance to explore the decorated house and of course a special chat with Santa 🧑‍🎄 and a lovely gift 💝

It was followed by a lovely lunch in the cafe. There are also the playgrounds and farm to explore, as well as gardens and parkland for winter walks ❄️ 🧣 an all-round lovely festive day out 🎄 ❤️

We had a wonderful evening at Carriageworks Theatre on Friday, watching this year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.

My nearly 7-year-old and her friend loved it, and she was still talking about it on the way to school this morning.

Of course there’s plenty for grown-ups at the panto too! All ages can laugh, join in and share the magic, continuing an all-time favourite Christmas tradition. Thank you Carriageworks ✨🌟💖

The Bradford Nutcracker Trail has started!

Come and find the 10 large nutcrackers placed around the city centre! Pick up a trail map from Waterstones, Broadway, Kirkgate Centre, Yorkshire Building Society and Skipton Building Society.

Solve the anagram and drop off the completed forms at the postbox in Waterstones for a chance to win a £100 Bradford gift card!

The trail is running until the 5th January!

Scenes from episode 8 were shot at Queen Ethelburga's near York 🥅

Filming took place on QE’s professional grass surfaced football pitches, which as well as being used by the PE department, football teams, and football coaching staff, are rented over summer by high-profile football academy clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday.

The new series of Jamie Johnson FC is available to stream on BBC iPlayer now.

Queen Ethelburga's is holding its next open morning on November 16.
