MONUMENTS 22/10/22
NORWICH HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST - 10AM-6PM

Jonathan Trayner and Jamie Dyson will be showing their video piece 'after the rain' which features Grotto di Catullo (Italy) after a torrential downpour.
Trayner works primarily in video, performance, and printmaking, with the majority of his works discussing the intersection of politics, aesthetics and history.
Dyson interested in the ideas and practices of power, as it pertains to
western ideological frameworks. He uses sound, drawing, video, and motion graphics to articulate, consider and deliberate on how this creates melancholy and subordinate subjects that survive in the inertia of the modern existence for the benefit of those ‘creators of
power’.

Alex is throwing a last minute house show tomorrow, the day before giving the keys to their old flat (and the former placeholder hq) back to the landlord. If you can get to Norwich, message for the address.

Their new room has a little office attached, which they're so excited to get back on the publishing horse from. Have you seen the new site btw? Between a fresh polished website, this show, and the (much better) Monument art show coming up on the 22nd, it's looking like hot poet autumn. Come do a reading in my old living room and toast to slowly waking the sleeping press.

In lieu of an easter egg hunt, we've been putting poems across Norwich - these are just pages from the magazine, but maybe we make some posters/broadsides to paste around some streets, what do you think?

it's been a while! we missed you. we're coming back ❤️

we got caught in a hiatus for a while there. we'll post about it in more detail on the site for anyone interested, but we've been planning behind the scenes for months now to make sure the comeback could be sustainable and everything you all deserve, and we're so excited to return!

we'll be spending april improving what we've already done - putting more pieces from the magazine online, reprinting, punching up the website - and then may doing community events, before starting to publish new work in summer.

thanks for sharing phase one of placeholder with us, we can't wait for everything to come. it's good to be home.
