Hey, it's been a little while and I'm sorry it's taken this long to get The Mix Radio 80s back online 😩. Right now, I'm running an "off air recording" on a continuous loop 📀, while I make back ups of the existing database and also upgrade the PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (yes, it's been that long 🫣).

80s hasn't been available on the website for some time but it should still work on your Smart Speaker and Mobile Apps like myTuner Radio, Online Radio Box, vRadio & Simple Radio 🤞.

Thank you so much for your patience, and here we go, Blasting through the 80s once again 🫶

You might’ve guessed, you will have already known if you listen. Yep, we’re still streaming.

So, some of you are still sending us WhatsApp’s telling you’d like to pay to keep the station going long term. That’s great, and we’re looking at kicking this off in the New Year.

Still unsure yet whether we’re going to make the stream private for paying users or just accept your help and donations from month to month. We will let you know. Until then, have a Happy Christmas 🎄

Hi!

Well, I knew that there would be a void if & when TMR 80s closed but I never realised just how popular we are. Our WhatsApp and Facebook Inbox have been inundated with suggestions that you "subscribe" to listen to The Mix Radio 80s.

This is something the big boys of the radio industry are trying, like Bauer with their Greatest Hits Radio Premium Service.

However, there's got to be enough demand for such service and at a reasonable cost to you. After all, most of us are struggling with the Cost of Living Crisis here in the UK.

So, it's over to you now. Would you pay to listen to The Mix Radio 80s and keep it on air?

Paul O’Grady has died, aged 67, “unexpectedly and peacefully”. He rose to fame in the 90s hosting TV shows like Blankety Blank under his Drag Queen guise Lily Savage.

He also hosted ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ on ITV and Channel 4 in the 2010s and most recently ‘For The Love of Dogs’ featuring the work of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home described O'Grady as a "devoted animal lover" and a "champion for the underdog".
