Transport for Sick Children
When you've got a medical appointment, it's really important that you attend them 🏥
Particularly when it's becoming increasingly harder to schedule them these days.
Due to the ever growing pressures being put on the nhs.uk
So when you hear that there's a great deal of children, who are struggling get to theirs on time.
It makes the whole predicament even more concerning!
Thankfully though, we've got charities like Transport For Sick Children, who are here to assist with this problem 🚕
And I had the great privilege to work with them, to produce a video marketing campaign to promote their solution.
Even if it did have me running around Greater Manchester, in icy conditions like a complete lunatic 🥶 🏃🏻♂️ 🎥
Either way, the promotional film that we developed, has truly captured their story, identity and processes perfectly.
Here's hoping that it greatly assists in their drive to secure more voluntary drivers.
Because the work they do is phenomenal 🔥

Who knew Speed Of Sight Charity had their own version of #supermario
Literally... he turned up to kart participants around the Three Sisters Circuit in the pouring rain.
Thank goodness he didn't have any blue shells or banana 🍌 peels at his disposal, whilst we had other instructors out on the track 😅
I wonder how many more #mariokart reference I could fit into this post.
Regardless, Ralph who is one of Speed of Sights residents stings, decided to come outfitted in a very fetching Super Mario outfit for the recent Charity Family Fun day. That they had been put on thanks to the support of GSF Car Parts
Even though we got absolutely soaked thanks to hour of torrential downpour. We managed to put a lot of smiles, on a lot of faces.
Which Ralph played a massive part in!

Well Trac Môn’s Anglesey Circuit / Trac Mônt in Wales certainly blew me away…
And literally I mean that!!!
As while filming this end of racing season video for Speed Of Sight Charity , to summarise their track day, demonstrate what they do, give a retrospective of their last 10 years and set out the charity’s goals for the future.
The ludicrous gale force winds and the over exposed lighting, certainly made the shoot even more interesting… as you’ll see in the video.
Besides these extreme conditions though, putting together this content was a pleasure; because I got work with so many talented people on it.
Which include:
John Galloway, who provided his glamorous acting chops in front of camera
Ben Harper, who gave up his time to assist with filming.
The volunteers who made everything happen.
And not forget the newest member of the Reach Out Studios team…
Lynn Dowdall, who is now our expert copywriter. Which enables us to write the best possible video scripts and posts.
I do hope you enjoy this content, just as much as we enjoyed producing it.
And please watch this space, as we’ve got a lot more to come in 2023.

When video case studies are done properly...
They can become the perfect piece of evidence to truly demonstrate what your capable of doing for another.
Late last year, I travelled to the glorious, yet very windy Anglesey Circuit in Wales, with my charity partner, Speed Of Sight Charity .
To capture their track day experience from top to bottom, and create a library of content to future market their services.
This case study that we created to tell the story of the day's main guests, Blind Veterans UK ; in my opinion... perfectly epitomises what these track days are all about and what they set out to do.
The entire interview that I had with Karla Rogers, was just pure magic. As you could feel the raw emotion in her voice and truthfully see what the day meant to their organisation.
Which is exactly what I love to see when I'm producing a video. If it does it job, then your going to get a lot of use from it.

San Remo Cafe's are OPEN!
Before Lockdown decided to close most of the hospitality sector in March 2020...
I had the absolute privilege to work with Louise Noakes of Cafe San Remo
To produce 7 promotional features that would each capture one of their lovely café establishments. That are situated in some of the most stunning parks around London, Slough and Oxford.
Unfortunately though… because the world came to a screeching halt and no one was allowed to mingle, the videos became a tad unusable.
The goal of the content was to showcase the Cafe's welcoming atmosphere and encourage more people to drop in for a coffee.
So I was genuinely gutted that all the hard work we’d put in had been completely derailed by the unforeseen pandemic.
However when restrictions began to ease, it gave me the idea to repurpose the videos into a welcoming compilation. To show they were happy to see everyone back.
The moral of this content is that if a situation does derail something you’ve worked on. There’s always a way to creatively re-think, re-work or re-purpose it to your own advantage.
With this video, we were able to tell a uniformed, welcoming message; while simultaneously highlighting every Café in the San Remo family.
By the way, if you're ever passing one of their fantastic cafés. You should definitely go in and check these guys out.

Volunteering as a team for a charitable reason, can be really valuable for everyone involved.
Not only does it build stronger ties between you and your fellow work mates.
It can leave you feeling fulfilled afterwards. Especially when you all emotionally share the same views towards the cause.
For example, a local team from Auto Trader UK, who were all fellow motorheads.
Recently came to a Speed Of Sight Charity track day, at the Three Sisters Race Track in Wigan.
To meet fellow volunteers and help out with the charity’s unique driving experiences.
That genuinely empower people; who are living with impairments, disabilities and learning difficulties.
Being a part of this community is a really special thing, and this interview with the whole AutoTrader team truly coveys that.
Rather than just talking to each member of their outfit individually; I wanted to see how the whole group felt instead.
As they came as unit, so why not do this together.
It was also sweet to watch everyone bounce off each other, share their respective thoughts and contribute to the whole conversation.
All I can is everybody felt the same way, which I feel is great way to encourage more companies and their teams to come along in these activities.

The People Behind Speed of Sight - Andy Bevan
Case Studies are a great way to tell a story and demonstrate the value of something.
So for the Speed Of Sight Charity, we wanted to create a content series that emphasised the importance of volunteering. As without them, this charity wouldn't be able to carry out their remarkable track days.
Andy Bevan in my opinion, was one of the standout crew members that I got to interview for this; because he’s truly dedicated to the cause.
Not only is he a trustee of the charity who runs his own driving school. He’s the Head Instructor for Speed of Sight experiences. Which meant he had a fantastic story as to why he got involved.
The other little added bonus to the creation of this video was Andy's actual reaction to it. As when he saw it for the first time at the charities 10 year celebration. He came over to me afterwards to ask for a copy, because he wanted to share it with his friends & family.
That kind of response alone meant a lot to me, because the video had accomplished its goal. It was memorable, it showcased the reason for volunteering in the right way and people were positively talking about it.
For me... that's a job well done in my book 📕 ☺️

The People Behind Speed of Sight
For more than 10 years, @Speed Of Sight Charity have been providing meaningful driving experiences for people living with impairments, disabilities and learning difficulties.
This however wouldn’t be possible without there incredible family of volunteers; who give up their own free time to put on these phenomenal track days.
Whether you’re an instructor in the car, someone in the pit crew, a greeter in hospitality, a cleaner of the equipment, a person offering marketing, a photographer or like me…
A producer who’s offering insightful content into the heartfelt world of Speed of Sight.
We are all here for the same reason; to empower people and positively change our mental health.
This video in this post is all about the amazing people behind this charity.
Its goal was to capture their reasoning for helping the charity, showcase the range of roles on a track day, and encourage more people to get involved.
I had to keep my emotions in check while editing this, because the compilation of short interviews that really tug at your heart strings.
It was also such an incredibly proud moment of mine to create something like this that has multiple purposes.
As not only can this used on social media to promote & endorse volunteering.
The video was used to open the charity’s 10-year celebration night.
So, tell me… why wouldn’t you want to get involved after watching this?
