We need your help! 🗳️

Since its inception in 2022, we have been involved in Bakewell Country Festival as both volunteers and exhibitors.

The Festival is up for a Visit Peak District & Derbyshire tourism award and we’d be extremely grateful if you’d give it your vote. It only takes two seconds - you don’t even need to input any details!

The Festival is run by the charity Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society. Funds raised go towards their training grants scheme, which supports those involved in agriculture, horticulture and forestry within 30 miles of Bakewell.

Thank you,

Matt and Lizzy 😊

⭐️ Please help celebrate our outstanding volunteers with your vote! ⭐️

Bakewell Country Festival has been shortlisted in the Festival or Event of the Year category at the Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards (Visit Peak District & Derbyshire) - and we're over the moon!

The category, which is new for 2024, is the only one open to public voting: https://visitengland-chapters.secure-platform.com/a/organizations/pdd/gallery/rounds/357/details/35258

We entered the Festival to shine a spotlight on our outstanding volunteers, without whom we could not hold the event to raise funds to keep our Training Grants scheme running.

If you have enjoyed the event and could help us celebrate our volunteers by voting we would be extremely grateful.

There are just two of us here organising the event and the dedication and commitment given to us by this wonderful group of people truly deserves to be recognised. We're up against some big competition, so if you are able to spare a moment to cast a vote we'd be hugely grateful.

Thank you so much for your support, it means a great deal to Bakewell Agricultural & Horticultural Society and everyone involved.

These teddies are having an amazing adventure 🥰 …does anyone know where they live?

Tales of the lost teddy part 4!

Our lost teddy has gained a friend and we had to make sure they could both enjoy an ice cream from our Ice Cream Parlour!

This time he chose mint choc chip with sprinkles of course!

We’re still hopeful of finding their owners!

Matt Lewis is a distinguished medieval historian with a wide range of publications, including a biography of Richard III and "The Survival of the Princes in the Tower." He is a prominent podcast host with History Hits and has appeared in numerous documentary programs. Great effort by town's young protectors
Year 7 pupils from Buxton Community School earned their Buxton Town Protector badges after completing a series of activities organised by the Town Team, working with Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust.
They day included the students completing the Big Tree Seek, identifying a surprising variety of tree species in the Pavilion Gardens.
Team member Doug Colton has created a free downloadable app – PG Tree – introducing users to the mix of native, introduced and cultivated species and attached 85 tree labels to help identify them.
BTT members Tina Heathcote and Andrea Lewis, who organised the day, hope to make it an annual event for BCS pupils.
Badges were presented to the pupils by Town Team chair
Lesley Caddy.
