Last night I had the pleasure of watching JOW perform at undergrowth. It was a wonderful show and afterwards I bought some of their JOW infused coffee beans. This morning I had the pleasure of sampling it, WOW JOW!! After a couple of blissful sips I felt like I was being blown from Pete Judges big shiny trumpet bell & weaving in and out of James Gow’s F-holes. Now that the afterglow of this luxurious coffee has worn off I feel a little jittery & confused. I think it’s time for coffee number two!

Her critically-acclaimed debut folk album Numberless Dreams released in 2020 was short-listed for the Album of the Year Awards by Blues and Roots Radio and got played on BBC Radio 3 and 6.

Featuring Dominie Hooper and Sid Goldsmith and produced by the latter, it gathers beautifully-crafted arrangements of Irish and English traditional songs and sublime original renditions of W.B.Yeats poetry.

Here's the new video for the Christmas tune 'Scrooge Flume' by Undergrowth's The Woodlice It's about the time Scrooge ate all the candy and got stuck in a waterslide. It's a moral tale for our times. It's also a bit shouty and involves inappropriate use of ping pong bats. So furiously addictive for toddlers that one dad is already slightly traumatised. Listen wisely. And have a very merry christmas.

On December 9th I'll be playing a solo set at Wild Goose Space, Bristol. It's a Benefit for St Werburghs City Farm with talks by Sandy Hore-Ruthven who cycled 1700 miles solo through the Chilean Andes and Gavin Spittlehouse sharing his stories from two solo cycling trips through seven countries in Africa.
