1) Video often stops people scrolling which is exactly what you want. You are looking to encourage people to spend longer on your post than on someone elses.
2) By mixing up your content with some video and copy with images, you are appealing to more people. Some people prefer to watch/listen to something but some people prefer to read something ... attracting as many of your ideal clients as you can is what content is all about ๐
3) You can create a video post and then you can use that content and write copy for another post, add an image and then you can post that another week or repurpose it onto other social media platforms!
Tips:
- Make the most of natural daylight if you can, sit or stand facing a window and this saves the need to have light rings etc.
- Adding captions/subtitles to your video will allow people who are scrolling on social media with no volume to still benefit from your video content.
- Angle the camera slightly above eye level, it is usually a little bit more flattering and engaging.

Do You Use Canva?
I love Canva, it has some great features and I use it every day for my work.
For those of you who don't know - it's a free-to-use online graphic design tool that will help you create professional-looking social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos etc.
There is a paid version (pro) which also has some great features - ones that I use a lot are the resizing tool, the brand kit and the transparent background BUT you most definitely can create some great stuff using the free version.
