Rising early at 4:00 am on a Monday morning a much loved and respected brewer, got up to brew the ale, in the Gullet Inn on Hill’s Lane in Shrewsbury.
Little did he know that in not much more than 24 hours he would be dead from a most ghastly injury.
In those days they had no treatment for burns...
