So Dedo in his wisdom gave us this Dedo ledzilla battery light with an Paralell beam intensifier attachment (pbi)
We use this with his Lightstream Lite reflectors with their bendy arm's
The PBI,'s are are a lens that creates a hotspot in which to place the reflector and the whole set up is handy for hard to rig places like this bust up old house.

We don't usually post unboxing videos but when our new CRLS Move2.0 reflector kit arrived last year it seemed silly not to...
This kit is brilliantly designed and a pleasure to use and we've had it out non stop on feature films and commercials since we bought it.
We recommend buying 4x extra C wheels with this kit as the 4 supplied aren't enough to work with the 16 reflectors.
Thanks to Jakob and all at the

Shooting small tight shots with reflectors....
On this shoot with for Shoot Bamboo we used the tiny reflectors to great effect.

Luminys 60w led laser Part 3
The big downside of the laser Led is that it carries no red in its colour so in no way a full spectrum light.
The orange fringing we talk about here is really a yellow (green and blue) edging off the lens.
Using it through a reflector takes away the colour fringing problems
If you want an amazing tight hot beam of light that will travel 100s of metres this is it
We think this technology is going to be the future in terms of low power/ low carbon large amounts of light especially when modulated with reflectors.
Thanks to for letting us test it out and Adam from for the use of his Sekonic c800 colour metre

Luminys 60w Laser Led light Part 1 look out for the other 2 parts over the next few days.
We were given this prototype laser led light to test out the other day.
It's a real breakthrough in terms of delivering an extremely bright beam of light from such an incredibly low wattage.
During the day it gives a workable beam for us to work with our Reflectors at around 50metres
We used it with our new 500wh power pack and it runs on that for around 4/5 hours without needing to recharge it.
Have a look at the other 2 short films for its colour information and how it looks with reflectors.
Finally thanks to John Coppen at Cirrolite for letting us test it out

One of the beautiful things about the PB70 parabolic beam is you can send a clean light high up in the sky.
In this set up on the film 'Invisible' with DoP Felix Schmilinsky we achieved a light that looks like it's coming from over 50 metres away from the window without a cherry picker and by carrying the light just 10 metres from the van!... Not up 6 floors!
It looked gorgeous.
It's was quick and efficient to set up, and really we can't think of a better way to work!

We made a nice little book light today with a Number 4 Reflector and some grid cloth. A really punchy wrap around soft source we used on the full side of frame with a Hudson Spider with a Stealth reflector on the key.

When you get into big beautiful locations like this Victorian Gothic Theatre the Langdon Down Centre in Teddington you truly realise the power of our reflective system.
In the main windows we powered 2x PB70's onto 1×1 Number 1 reflectors up on 7metre stands creating great warm beams of light across the hall. We supplemented this with a beam from a Dedo 400 with a parallel beam intensifier to create another beam in the background from the side of the stage and used another Dedo 400& PBI with the small no 1 Reflectors to light the stage and proscenium arch.
4 lights and 6 Reflectors to make a lighting set up that looks like it has 18k's on cherry pickers.
This was for a film we lit over the weekend for DoP and Director Edem Wornoo

Fingers crossed for 'Crip Tales' which we lit last year and is up for a TV Bafta tonight!

Here's a thing our 1.2hmi PB70's put out such a strong beam that we are able to punch light into daylight
In this set up we were cheating the colour balance into the blue to create a dawn look and then dropping this patch of heavy orange light into it to make it look like a security light over a door
The fact we can get this sort of stop out of the Reflectors and the PB70 still amazes us..... it's a game changer in terms of output from such a small wattage light
This was from our last week on with director Keith Farrell and DoP
We wrapped on Saturday and are back in London drying out the kit from rainy Halifax!

We've been throwing light a long way this week working in Halifax on the Feature film Moment of Grace for and DoP
In this set up we safely and legally set a reflector on the side of the flyover saving ourselves massive cable run and creating a light that looked like it was coming from 50metres behind and above the actors. Plus we used the edge spill from the edge of the PB70 to make two lights out of one.
Reflectors and beam lights save rig time and lighting time because we move light in different ways

Here's a some work from the feature film we've been lighting this last week with DoP David Crawley
A classic example of how our parallel beam's and Lightbridge Reflectors produce beautiful cinematic light in tight locations saving budget and time!
