Our Story

Seadog TV & Film Productions was formed by multi-award-winning broadcaster and presenter Monty Halls. Originally providing support for marine and aerial filming operations, Seadog undertook a crowd-funding campaign in 2015 in order to expand its out-put, and is now achieving notable broadcast and commercial success in its own right.

Our award-winning team produces factual programmes for major broadcasters worldwide, telling important stories about the world we live in. We also work with brands to create story-led video content that audiences seek-out.

The Team Seadog has a policy of employing young, talented film-makers and combining this with experienced production veterans. As such, the company prides itself on nurturing new industry talent, whilst at the same time utilising relationships and experience that has been built up over many decades. Such a blend has created two series for Channel 4 in 2017, and an exciting raft of ideas in development for 2018. Meet the team.

WWII’s Great Escapes Seadog’s first commission was the much-acclaimed WWII’s Great Escapes: The Freedom Trails for Channel 4. Over four episodes, Monty Halls trekked the Freedom Trails of WWII, discovering what it took to escape N**i Europe and meeting the ordinary men and women who became heroes in the process. The series, broadcast in Autumn 2017, received high praise from the public and industry alike for its accurate and sensitive retelling of these incredible journeys. It was also noted for its cutting-edge interview techniques and spectacular drone footage.
