Photopress Leeds Ltd Owner Jimmy Waite took with him George Williamson as manager who also worked at the Evening News alongside Jimmy Waite.

hotopress was based on New Station Street in Leeds, nicknamed LITTLE FLEET STREET due to all the press offices gathered there. He also employed Barry Henson who went on to the Daily Express in Leeds. In the early 1970’s Steven Dennis Parker joined Photopress and became the head of the darkroom and top sports photographer, and was assisted by John Harvey, between them ran most of the daily operations including copy work for the BBCtv Leeds (BBC North), Steve’s work showed regular and the weather map was shown 6 days per week for well over 18 months ! And most of the sports work going National and some Press work going International.
