Newport City Gaming is a community project based in around Newport South Wales, for gamers who want to go further with gaming than just playing. At this moment there are only 4 of us and we a dedicated to this project, the plan for the very near future is to expand and allow more dedicated gamers and media creators/ fans into our slowly expanding project.

Although there is a gaming community in Newport and plenty of other projects based around other forms of art and entertainment, for example music, there is no project out there to help the gamers of Newport get away from just playing the games. Our first stage once we have funding to go further is to start producing games based content, for example game play videos, lives shows and other forms of media that we can create around gaming. Our second stage once we have started creating all the media is to bring in more volunteers, which will then be assigned and trained to do whatever parts of the project they would like to be part of, these volunteers can be presenters of the shows, video and audio technicians, editors and allot more. In the future we also look to use contacts in universities and colleges to help our volunteers get into a higher education, based around what they have learned with our project.
