Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas - whatever that looks and feels like to you. Forget the media hype, do what makes you feel safe, relaxed and happy. I’m making memories, especially with my older dog Coco (pictured here). He’s 14 and a half and very precious to me so it means a lot to spend time with him and cherish every moment. My daughter comes home on Christmas Eve, which will be fab. I’ve finished work for the year and feel blessed to have been kept so busy in the past 12 months. Sending love and best wishes to all my clients and all the wonderful people who have shared their time and stories with me this year. Look forward to working with you again in 2024 ❤️❤️

This is worrying!!

Today's fun: Discovering I have published a new book *without even knowing it!* That's how talented I am.

The truth is much scarier.

AI has been used to generate an entire book published in my name. A kind fan let me know she had bought it, not realizing it was NOT from me, and was shocked at the cheap printing, awful writing and so many other ways that it was clear I had nothing to do with this.

The title is The Best Way to Meet Your Dog: Navigating Canine Behavior and Relationships. IT IS NOT MINE.

It has stolen a lot of material from a lot of trainers including me, Kim Brophey and others. I have filed complaints with Amazon.

This is going to be the future, I fear. Stay alert, and keep an eye out for what's posted on Amazon under your own name.

If you can *without purchasing the book,* post a warning at Amazon in the reviews for this crap.

This is sad news. My first ever editorial job was on Your Cat magazine. It was a great resource for cat lovers and always beautifully produced, with fab features. 🥰

The December issue should be with subscribers soon, and sadly, it's our last edition. After 30 years, Your Cat magazine closes with this issue, though we remain online and have some future plans soon. We hope you enjoy the final one...

Yay! I’ve been commissioned to write another year of dog-friendly holiday features every month for ! I’ll be looking for very special places all over the UK and will need to be supplied with fab photos. Remember we are all just here for a short while, spinning around on this tiny planet in a massive universe. ❤️❤️

Every now and again I interview someone who for various reasons massively impresses me. One of these people is an 11 year old girl called Lydia Ruffle. She had dreamed of owning a puppy since she was 5, and showed the most amazing determination and entrepreneurial skills to save up enough money to make it happen. And then a book featuring her puppy was written by her dad and published by ! Read her story in the November edition of - on sale now. This was also the last issue of the magazine to be edited by the editor Sarah Wright, whose hard work and professionalism have been an inspiration to me for many years. I will miss working with her and wish her well in her next venture.

How a Dog Walker Changed Everything! 🐶❤️

In our August 23 issue, we bring you the incredible story of Kate Faulkner and her beloved furry duo, Wiz and Charley, along with their amazing dog walker, Katrina Swatton of Buddies Dog Walking. Prepare to be inspired! 🌟🐾

Kate, initially sceptical about using a dog walker, couldn't comprehend why anyone would need one. But fate had other plans when Charley joined their family, becoming an inseparable companion to Wiz.

Concerned about Charley's separation anxiety and Wiz's need for some alone time, Kate stumbled upon a social media post recommending Katrina's services. Serendipity struck when they met during a walk, and a connection was formed.

Starting out, Kate was naturally nervous about Wiz's first outing with a dog walker. But her worries soon vanished as Katrina's calm and confident demeanour won both her and Wiz over. Trust and open communication became the foundation of their relationship.

Fast forward to today, and both Wiz and Charley eagerly join Katrina on group walks. It's become a highlight of their day, enhancing their socialization skills and bringing them immense joy. And for Kate, it's a blessing as it allows her to work without distractions. 🏞️💼
