You said, we did!

We have been approached by members of the public letting us know that some drivers have not been passing horses slow enough or leaving enough space.

When passing a horse in a vehicle you need to allow 2 metres clearance. This means that if the horse turns to face towards the car or kicks out, it won't hit the vehicle- keeping the horse, rider and driver safe.

Remember - if you meet a horse rider on the road remember these things:
🔵 Slow down
🔵 Be patient, don’t use your horn or rev your engine
🔵 Drive slowly away.

The Singing Kettle returns to Irvine this July! Join Artie for a nostalgic singalong, perfect for the kids!!

THEATRE |

We are extremely excited to announce that the wonderful Artie's Singing Kettle will be returning to the HAC this summer with SILLY SONGS!

In a brand new show for 2023, the Singing Kettle’s founder, Artie dusts off the kettles and asks the audience to join in the rhyme, “Spout, handle, lid of metal, What’s inside the Singing Kettle”. Inside clues to the silliest songs he can remember from the vast Singing Kettle repertoire: “Little Bunny Fou Fou”, “We’re going on a Bear Hunt” and, of course. “Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny aff the Bus”.

Don’t forget to wear a Funny Hat to the show – older fans too!

North Ayrshire Council are planning to introduce parking charges to some car parks across the area including in Irvine, Kilwinning, Saltcoats and Largs.

Having seen the devastating impact these charges have had on town centres like Kilmarnock and Ayr, could you spare a minute to help add to the 1,300 signatures?

We must grow and nurture our local towns and businesses. At the very least, parking should be free for the first hour to encourage people to shop locally 🛍

Keep Parking In North Ayrshire Council FREE!
