When dial-up was the way to get online and MSN messanger was the dating "app" back in the day - 18 years on from all the smiley wink emojis of the chat window to marrying your best friend at the stunning Allington Castle.

The official photos are here!! The feeling hasnât quite sunk in yet but I canât believe this happened nearly a week ago. Iâm a great believer in what you put in, you get out. And if you are passionate about something, then thatâs all you need to make a success out of it.
But itâs not all about the cameras, the drones, the editing and what you see on screens. There is a whole side of this that people donât see. Growing any business always comes with growing pains and my wife has been my number 1 supporter. Not only on occasion does she 2nd shoot for me aswell as becoming an upcoming photographer herself, but she is the backbone of the business. Her passion is personal development and mental health and sheâs been nothing short of amazing to help me through the challenging times.
So in a nutshell, this award means so much more than just about what i create. Itâs not my award. Itâs our award.
Thank you Damian & Anna for putting on a great awards ceremony. And thank you judges for making me your national winner for 2023!! And and even bigger thanks for all the couples who voted for me. The feedback has been incredible.

Wow! What a start to the year! A busy week of shows and bookings and lots of new followers. So itâs about time I done one of theseâŠ
My name is Mike. But everyone calls me MAC. (For some reason! đ). I know⊠I couldnât think of anything half decent or original when I ventured into this crazy world of weddings. But there you go. I started filming weddings in 2018 and itâs pretty safe to say that Iâve not looked back since!
I live in Ashford in Kent with my wife Emma and our two wonderful children Olivia & Jack. No dogs or pets⊠yet.
So here are some fun facts about me: I used to be a nightclub DJ back in the days when getting drunk every weekend was cool. I used to work at Heart radio doing broadcast stuff. I loved football once upon a time and was brought up supporting Arsenal (sorry Tottenham fans!). But F1 is now my real passion. I love being a bit of thrill seeker. Iâm a perfectionist - I have a need for things to be perfect. Oat milk latte gets me going in the mornings. Beans and toast is my fave breakfast - although the beans must be a little mushy and the bread must not be soaked in bean juice. There will be reel I will make on this at some point. And thereâs a whole load more.
Being a full time filmmaker is a dream, fulfilling and rewarding job. I mean⊠itâs not even a job to me. Itâs more of a hobby because I see it as something that Iâm passionate and excited about rather than it being something you have to do to make a living. I followed my dreams and I am such a believer in you get out what you put in.
My wife is the backbone of MACV. Not only is she my 2nd videographer, she is also a brilliant wedding photographer. Go check her out

Itâs the award I really wanted⊠and I won it!
Videographer of the year 2023 at the South East Wedding Industry Awards!! Just wow⊠what a surreal moment it was last night. This award means so much - not because we pour our love and passion into what we do - but it feels absolutely amazing to be recognised by industry peers and judges who are actual pros themselves. We was up against some really awesome competition and everyone deserved to be a winner last night.
I wouldnât have got this far without my couples who, for one trusted me in the first place to film their big day and two, took the time to vote for me. It means the absolute world.
So after last night, I became 1 of the 8 UK regional winners for this award and we now go to London in January to find out if we can win the big one at the national awards.

N O T Y O U R E V E R Y D A Y W E D D I N G.
When the bride and her bridesmaids all wear Spanish flamenco dresses, we knew we were in for a treat. When R & S contacted me, their words precisely was they wanted something different to the norm. And for those who follow my work will know I canât stick to the norm. R&S are celebrating their first anniversary this month. And hats off to this amazing couple for allowing us to be part of what was a true spectacle of a wedding!

Last year I was over the moon. I won the âWOW factor awardâ and came highly commended in the videography category. This year I have fingers crossed in just the videography category - it could be third time lucky đ€.
Good luck to my fellow finalists.
Iâm really looking forward to catching up with fellow wedding suppliers on awards night.
So itâs been another crazy year of weddings! And I echo what most finalists have put on their posts - these awards are a massive pat on the back for us! Still got a big pile of editing to get through⊠so itâs back to the grind!

Sound up!! Sound up!! Hollywood comes to Leeds Castle!
John and Malloryâs all-American wedding was nothing short of show stopping. And it was truly a spectacle! I will let the trailer do the talking as it sums up exactly how this amazing couple come to find the âloveliest castle in the worldâ.
Confetti anyone? Confetti cannons make for epic pics and film - especially during the first dance when this real intimate moment becomes a real spectacle. Love it!

My name is Mike and Iâm a Kent based wedding and events videographer. Iâd like to welcome you to MAC Videography.
Wedding videography is often perceived as a luxury that is slowly becoming a must-have. Because lets face it, you have worked so hard in organising your special day. Youâve put lots of effort and money into the tiniest of details and the only lasting memory of your special day is the beautiful pictures captured by your photographer. And, not to mention, some shaky iPhone videos from the reception after âa fewâ.
A wedding film captures that raw emotion that pictures canât re-create. From the tears of joy at the âI-doâsâ to the laughter at the best manâs embarrassing speech, to the first dance and beyond - A wedding video is a memory that you can relive in motion picture and cherish for years to come. And that is where I come in.
So - the burning question still left unanswered is price. What do I charge?
To cut the long story short - having recently married myself, I understand the majority of weddings do run on a tight budget especially when you are funding it yourselves. I donât charge a premium because itâs a âWeddingâ but more rather on the amount of time I spend filming the day and then editing the footage afterwards. Youâd be surprised as to how much goes into making a wedding film! Letâs just say, Iâm open to working something out... to work with your budget and my work load.
