Lists of locations of immigration lawyers across the country have been shared online causing concern for the government.

The list which was initially shared via Telegram groups includes locations in Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle has led to lawyers working from home and premises being boarded up.

Cleveland Police chief constable Mark Webster told BBC Radio 4 Today programme that they have an awful lot of resources today and in the coming days to manage intelligence that comes in.

Stockton is a diverse community who welcome all, and there is no place for the far-right here.

Currently the town centre remains calm.

Cleveland Police are monitoring the situation in towns closely this afternoon. Currently the situation in Stockton is tense with many shops now closed, and a large gathering of the Muslim community alongside police around their Mosque. There are no reports of any disorder.
